lesson service was held in St
Paul's Anglican Church Sunday
morning with Canon James of
London officiating. Lessons were
read by Susan Schaefer and

Steven, and Burns Blackler,
Harold Davis, Bill Waghorn and
Gerald Paul.
Mr, & Mrs. Eldon Robinson
entertained 30 New Year's Day
including their family and
friends.

Couples wed recently
To live in Mon-treat, Penticton
father, the bride wore her
mother's wedding dress, of ivory
satin and lace with train. She
carried a bouquet of yellow and
white mums and wore an
heirloom locket of gold with
pearls and rubies, which had
been worn by her maternal great-
grandmother on the occasion of
her wedding.
Bridesmaids, Carole Anne
Wilson, Penticton, Valerie
Stewart of Naramata, and Janet
Fairfield, the bride's sister, were
all gowned in purple and carried
yellow mums.
Best man was the bride's
brother, Howard Fairfield, and
ushers were D'Arcy Browne,
Penticton and Bruce Fairfield,
also the brother of the bride.
A reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents,
followed by a dance at the
Naramata United Church Hall.
Katherine is the daughter of
Mr, and Mrs. Jack Fairfield of
Penticton and formerly of
Exeter, where she attended
Exeter Public School and South
Huron District High School. The
groom is the grandson of Mrs,
J.E. Barrel' of Naramata and the
brother of Mr. Donald Nims of
Calgary.
They are residing in Penticton,
where they are both employed.

Penticton, B.C. was the setting in
November for the wedding of
Katherine Ruth Fairfield to
Melvin Douglas Nims.

They wore simply fashioned
gowns of peacock blue velvet,
Best man was Paul Spafford.
Ushers were Peter Buttle and
Dennis Kastner and Joseph
Ryan.
Following a reception at
Crediton Community the couple
left for a wedding trip to Florida.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Ryan, RR 3,
Ailsa Craig and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Buttle,
Mississauga.
The couple will reside in
Montreal.
