Broken leg may
postpone meeting
Exeter council's plans to
complete the local sewer project
have met with many problems
and a new one cropped up this
week.
It was learned that consulting
engineer B,M, Ross, Goderich,
had broken his leg in two places.
He was apparently cleaning snow
from his car when he slipped on
ice.
That could create another
delay in getting the sewer project
underway.
Plans had been made to have a
meeting with Ross, officials of
the OWRC and Canadian Canners
to commence negotiations on cost
sharing between the town and
Canners. The meeting had been
tentatively set for the first week
in January but it is not known
whether the Goderich engineer
will be able to attend at that time.
An earlier date had to be
postponed because an official
from Canadian Canners was on
holidays.

By LORRAINE CRAWFORD

I can hardly wait until Xmas
Eve9 when Santa comes and puts
the present under the tree. I wait
and wait until he comes and then
I wake up. "He has been here!
Soon I wake up everyone, run
out to the living room to open my
presents. I get a doll house for
Dawn and I get a Hands Down. I
wanted that so bad I was going to
cry. But anyway, I got what I
wanted for Christmas. I am hap-
py Christmas is here and my
brother and sister and I will go
out and slide on the ice. It's fun.
Christmas is fun.
A Christmas Poem

Jesus was born on Christmas
Day,
In swaddling clothes there he lay.
The Wise Men had on their
camels lifts,
And for the little baby they gave
gifts.
The sheperds saw the angel in the
sky,
He told them a little baby is born
in a stable, there he lie
There was stillness through the
town,
Not a creature moved, there was
no sound.
Angels were Elizabeth

Rosemary Tuckey, Pattie Dobbs
