No parking will be allowed on the streets of the
village of Hensall between the hours of 2 a.m. and
7 a.m. during the winter months to allow for snow
removal.
The owner of any vehicle so found may be charged
under section 116, sub-section II of the Ontario
Highway Traffic Act.

Donna Bell. A Christmas theme

ficers for 1973 is as follows:

Campbell; flower fund, Mrs.
Janice Baker; phone committee,
Mrs. Erlene Stewart.
Mrs. Vanstone closed the
meeting with the Serenity Prayer
and an exchange of gifts among
Sunshine Pals was held, Mrs.
Marg Baker acted as hostess.

The Christmas meeting of the
Chiselhurst U.C.W. was held in
the santuary of the Church.
President Mrs. Marg Cole
presided and opened with a poem
followed by the Lord's Prayer.
Thirteen members and six guests
answered the roll call. Mrs.
Dorothy Parker gave the worship
message entitled "The
Bethlehem Star", Mrs. Vera
Ross played a medley of
Christmas songs on the piano for
the program.
Some ladies volunteered to help
wrap gifts for the Childrens Aid
in Exeter. Mrs, Dorothy Parker
and Mrs. Dorothy Brintnell were
appointed as the visiting com-
mittee for January, Rev. Don
Beck gave a very inspiring
Christmas message. The
Janpary meeting will take the
form of quilting and a pot luck
dinner. Rev. Beck closed the
meeting with prayer. The
hostesses were Mrs. Ruth Brock
and Mrs. Erla Coleman.

KINSMEN ENTERTAIN SENIOR CITIZENS - Senior citizens in the Hensall area were treated to a bus
trip to see the Christmas lights of Clinton and Goderich, Wednesday night. Before the bus took off,

At the Advent III service in
Hensall United Church Sunday
morning, Melissa Veal lit the
third advent candle, Rev, Don
Beck preached on the sermon
topic "God in-the-midst" and the
choir sang the anthem.
Sunday evening the White Gift
Carol Service was held. The
Junior choir contributed two
numbers and the Senoir choir
sang the anthem. A Choral
reading was given by the
Intermediate Class from Sunday
School. The McGregor family —
Jim and Betty, Mary Jane,
Stephen, Murray, Mark and
Michael dramatized a Christmas
story using scripture lessons
from Luke, Matthew and
Corinthians. Karen McAllister on
the piano and Mrs. Turkheim on
the organ contributed two very
beautiful duets. Christmas carols
were enjoyed throughout the
service.

their Christmas meeting Thur-
sday afternoon at the Church,
Mrs. James McAllister opened
the meeting with a scripture
reading followed by prayer. Mrs.
Gordon Love gave the devotional
and took as her theme, "The
Spirit of Christmas." Mrs.
McAllister spoke on Philip
Brook's Christmas gift when he
wrote the words 0 Little Town of
Bethlehem, the music of which
was written by Lewis Redner.

Britton rendered an inspiring
duet "Star of the East", ac-
companied by Mrs. T. Sherritt on
the pians.
The hostesses Mrs. P•im and
Mrs. Ferguson took up the of-
fering. Mrs. McAllister told a folk
tale by Finnish gypsies — "The
Good Night". Those contributing
readings were Mrs. Pym, Mrs.
Riley, Mrs. Luther, Mrs. Purdy,
Mrs. Errat, Mrs. Peck, Mrs.
Britton. Mrs. Sherritt conducted
a contest and gave the

The Ladies Aid of Carmel
I Presbyterian Church met for a
short meeting Thursday af-
ternoon at the Church, where
they packed 20 boxes to distribute
among the sick, shut-in and
elderly of the church.
Last Wednesday evening, 41
Senior Citizens of Hensall went on
a Christmas light viewing tour to
Goderich. After seeing many
beautiful lighting arrangements
the bus tour went to the
Psychiatric Hospital near
Goderich, for a Christmas en-
tertainment program sponsored
by the Hensall Kinsmen and
Kinettes.
Mrs. Rachel Schwalm reported
this week that she had seen a
crow harbouring around her
place lately and says that it stays
here all year round, and can be
heard cawing every now and then
even in the bad snow storm.
Brenda Pepper, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pepper
received word this week that she
has passed with honors her Grade
5 music exam from the Western
Ontario Conservatory of Music
held in Goderich recently.
Brenda is a pupil of Mrs. Frank
Forrest.
A euchre party, sponsored by
the C.P. & T Committee was held
in the Lodge rooms last Friday
evening. Due to the weather
conditions only five tables were
in play. Winners are as follows:
ladies high, Mrs. Hhward
Lemmon; ladies low, Mrs. Alex
McBeath; mens high, Lorne
Hay; mens low, Clarence
Volland; lone hands, Mrs. Nellie
Riley. A draw for a box of
chocolates,was won by Mrs. R.A.
Orr and a bag of oranges was won
by Mrs. Ross Richardson. The

Owing to the number of complaints
received by council regarding trespassing
on private property and sidewalks, causing
unnecessary noise and disturbances during
all hours of the night.
If' the owners and operators do not use
more consideration, the council will have to
pass stricter measures regarding their use in
the Village.
