Christmas Party The Crediton and District Social Club held a Christmas party for the children of the area in the tree-decorated Community Hall Sunday afternoon. Gordon Ratz was master of ceremonies. Mother Dominica, Chatham visited with her mother Mrs. Christina Dietrich and her family over weekend. Mrs. Betty Scratch returned home from Exeter Hospital last Tuesday feeling much better. John Hall received word last week of the death of his brother- in-law, Frank Radcliffe, Detroit, The young people of the parish held a meeting Sunday evening with a good attendance. The guest speaker Father Patrick Fuerth London was an in- teresting speaker. The evening rounded up with records and refreshments held in the school gym. Mr. & Mrs. Wilbert Mawson, Parkhill moved last Saturday into the farm house owned by Doug Mawson. Mrs. Lorne Preszcator was pianist, Mrs. Earl Neil was chairman of the program and led in prayer. Members sat at tables, each one of which was decorated with a symbol of Christmas. Readers, Mrs. Preszcator, Mrs. Leonard Wein, Mrs, Howard Lightfoot, Mrs. Emerson Wein, Laura Mathers and Doris Schwartz explained the meaning of the symbols. Doris Schwartz sang two solos and Laura Mathers read the Scripture. Christmas songs were sung by the members. Mrs. Alvin Finkbeiner, president, took charge of the business, Members were reminded to save used stamps for the Leprosy Mission and to prepare their annual reports before January. Rev. Douglas Warren presided over the installation of officers for 1973. Mrs. Lloyd Lamport read the report of the Nominating Committee. Flints were shown. Then Santa Claus arrived and presented a bag of treats to each child. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Robert Dinney and family have moved to Huron Park. Brenda Fahner has returned home from South Huron Hospital. Mr. & Mrs. Earl Lippert are holidaying in Nassau. At the last report they were enjoying a temperature of 84 degrees. Rev, & Mrs. Armin Schlenker and Mary Ellen spent the weekend in Kitchener and Roseville. Mr. & Mrs. William Schwartz Claire and Mark and Mr. & Mrs. Alf Wuerth, Exeter were in Detroit Sunday to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Schwartz. Several relatives from the area were in Zurich Saturday to attend Open House at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Ferd Haberer on the oc- casion of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mrs. Lloyd Hey has been a patient at South Huron Hospital. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Tilley, Seaforth were guests Sunday of Mr. & Mrs. Alf Tilley. They presented to them a poinsettia plant in honour of their 45th wedding anniversary. Say farewell at Clandeboye By MRS. SUE EDGINTON A farewell party for Mr. & Mrs. Harry Murless was given by the village, at the home of Mr, & Mrs. Jerry Edginton, Nancy Taylor organized a euchre game which was enjoyed by all. Winners were Mrs. E. Kestle, Mrs. L. Blake, Mrs. B, Carter, Ron Atchison and Sam Taylor. The couple were presented with an avocado fry pan and signal road flashlight. Mr. & Mrs. Murless left Saturday for Fort Peirce Florida. They will spend six months there and then take a trip to the west coast and off to England. • Personals Betty Scott, Kitchener visited with her parents Mr, & Mrs. Wilmer Scott and Brenda. Mr. & Mrs. Ron Atchison and Allisa have taken up residence in the Murless home. Mr. Atchison is an adjuster with National Auto Accident Services. Mr. & Mrs, John Edginton & Mrs. Lloyd Broughton of London visited Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. J.
