Fairbairn Leads again
Bill Fairbairn one of the top
point getters on the Jets club this
year again led the scoring attack
against Stratford in the Sunday
contest.
Fairbairn scored late in the
second period to give the Jets a 2-
1 lead as the teams went to their
second rest session and came
back with the fourth and what
proved to be the winning goal at
6.59 of the third period,
Another Exeter youngster
Barry Bayn.ham opened the•
game scoring at 2.25 of the
middle frame when he blasted in
a hard slap shot from the blue-
line after taking a pass from Tom
Hodgins.
John St. Cyr registered for the
Perths at 8.40 to knot the count
and then Fairbairn notched his
first score on a three-way passing
play with Jack Nairn and Jamie
Robb with the Jets enjoying a one
man advantage.
Early in the third period
defenceman Jim Pinnegar upped
the Jets lead to 3-1 as he con-
verted a pass from Tom Hodgins,
Only 39 seconds later the game
was all tied up as Jerry Hishon
scored twice for Stratford.
At 6.59 only 52 seconds after
Hishon's second tally Fairbairn
took passes from Jamie Robb and
Jacques Cousineau, wheeled
behind the Stratford net came
around in front and picked up his
own rebound and put the puck
into the net.

The Exeter Pee Wees are on a
winning streak and remain un-
beaten so far this season. This is
one of the better teams to
represent Exeter in Pee Wee
category for sometime,
Lloyd Moore and Bev Skinner
have the team playing a good
brand of hockey. Credit must also
be given to former coaches of
these boys.
The Hawks playing good
hockey despite many injuries
have only lost one game so far
this season. Mitchell who are in
second place in the standings are
here on Friday night in what
should be one of the best games of
the season.
