Under the new Ontario Property Tax. Credit Plan, residential
and farm properly taxes levied and due in 1972 must be paid
by December 31, 1972.
The payment of these municipal taxes will enable you to
receive full credit under the Ontario plan on your 1972
income tax return.

Boy Scouts
visit OPP

CROMARTY
The Crornarty Boy Scouts went
to Sebringville on Monday night
and were shown many in-
teresting features in connection
with the Ontario Provincial
Police Station.
Betty Anne and Karen Miller
won first prize in their class at
the talent night contest held at
Ontario Street United church
Clinton. Other girls taking part in
the dancing class were Jill liar-
burn, Barbara Meikle Nancy
Scott, Janice Vivian.
Mr. & Mrs. John Wallace spent
the weekend in Essex with their
daughter, Mrs. Shirley Elliott
and family,
Mr. & Mrs. John Scott have
moved and are comfortably
settled in their new home which
they had built on their one hun-
dred acre farm east of Cromarty
during the past summer. The
contracters were R. Robinson
and J. Fowler, Mitchell. It is of
modern design, constructed in
frame with a brick vaneer finish,
contrasting greatly in size to the
white brick house on the same
farm, The old original log house
is still standing close by on the
premises.

visited recently with Mr. & Mrs.
Bill Ramsey and daughter
Tracey at Kitchener.
Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Splane and
Beverly, London visited with her
parents Mr, & Mrs. Gordon Scott,
Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Moore, Lind-
say visited with Mr. & Mrs. G. L.
Scott and also with Mr. Moore
mother, Mrs. Esther Moore who
is a patient in Seaforth Communi-
ty Hospital.
Clare Wilson, Detroit visited
during the week with cousins Mr,
& Mrs. T.L. Scott and family.

Municipal Election
for the purpose of electing 1 Deputy-Reeve, 3 Councillors, 3
Trustees for the Police Village of Granton, 1 representative for
the Middlesex County Board of Education and 1 represen-
tative for the Huron-Perth R.C.S.S. Board.
Take notice that the first advance poll for the Township of
Biddulph will be held on Monday November 27, 1972 from
11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Biddulph Township Building, Lucan,
and the second advance poll will be held on Saturday
December 2, 1972 from 11 a.m, to 8 p.m. at the fire hall in
Granton.
The regular polling day will be on Monday December 4
from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following polls.

CHRISTMAS DRAW
Dave Clifford, leaders of the
Brownie pack invited the
mothers and the District Com-
missioner, Mrs. Lynn Clay of the
Bluewater District from Forest.
Coffee and doughnuts were
served after the presentations.
Saturday at the IGA the Girl
Guides led by Mrs. P. Dunne and
Mrs. I. Ford held a bazaar and
bake sale with proceeds over $60.
Contributors to the success are
the staff of the Green Forest
Hotel for items made for sale,
Eric Mcllroy of Merry Rags for a
Raggedy Anne Doll which was
raffled off, as well as the IGA,
and mothers who sent baked
goods to be sold.

A potluck supper sponsored by
the Anglican Church Women was
held at the Parish Hall with the
whole congregation invited.
About 40 persons sat down to
supper — The "luck" was good!

to fracture a bone in her foot at
school one day last week.

where they attended the funeral
of the late Mrs. George Luther at
D. J. Robb Funeral Home.

The UCW had a successful year.
$200 was given to the Retarded
Children's Workshop at Grand
Bend and Dashwood.
Instead of flowers for the 52
sick, $130 was given to the Mis-
sion and Service Fund of the
Church. The UCW are financially
responsible for the new cement
steps and the, railing in front of
the church. The meeting closed
with prayer.

WI Tweedsmuir Local History,

mittee to her home to complete
the history up to 1958, in
readiness for microfilming in
Toronto.
