Somewhat disappointed By PATRICK LEPRECHAUN Wednesday, the Irish lost to Belmont, This is the first time this year I was just a little disap- pointed in their play. The third period they seemed to lag a little and lost 5-3. Craig Corman scored two goals for the Irish and Rick Funston came up with one. Friday, the Irish travelled to Mitchell and redeemed themselves by bringing home a win. This was exceptionally good hockey. There were only six penalties handed out to each team and these only minor ones. At the end of the first period the score was 3-1 for the Irish with goals by Mike McIntyre, Craig Corman and Brad England. In the second Mitchell came back with three goals to make the score 4-3. The third period told the tale. The boys came out to win and pumped in three goals to Mitchell's one, Brad England and Mike Wraith got a goal each early in the period and Craig Corman got the winning goal at 14.50 of the period making it 6-5 for the Irish. I don't think I have ever seen a happier team, If you want to see good hockey come out to the Irish games. The Irish met Exeter last night. These two teams always have a good game when they play against each other. Friday the Irish travel to Exeter for a return game. Next Wednesday, December 6 Tavistock are guests of the Irish. Fairbairn wins it Two goals from the stick of former Exeter junior star Bill Fairbairn gave the Jets their 5-3 win over Bothwell on Ilderton ice Sunday afternoon.
