Hi-C conduct
youth service
Sunday morning in Hensall
United Church was the Youth
Service with members of the
High-C taking part. Conducting
the service and preaching were
Joan Forrest, John Blackwell
and Jeff Beck. Playing guitars
were Kathy Cook and Paul
Fydenchuk, and on the piano
were John Blackwell and Kathy
Cook. Paul Fydenchuk of
Crediton accompanying himself
on the guitar sang a solo.
At the close of the service,
coffee and refreshments were
served in the Fellowship Hall.

lodge holds euchre party

memberships during a meeting held at the Hensall Legion hall, Friday night. Above, from the left are

The second meeting of the
month was held at the home of
Linda McCallum, November 22.
Donations are to be made to the
War Memorial Children's
Hospital, the Arthritis Associa-
tion and a needy person in the
community. A donation is also
being made to the Parks Board
for skating time for the Local
Figure Skating Club. Final
arrangements are being made
for entertaining the Kinsmen and
their wives at the Christmas par-
ty on at the Pineridge Chalet.
The raffle was won by Sharon
Hoffman.
Rebekah Euchre
A very successful euchre, spon-
sored by members of the
Rebekah Lodge, was held recent-
ly in the IOOF Lodge rooms with
11 tables in play. Lady with the
most games, Mrs. Glenn Bell;
lady with the least games, Mrs.
Wes Richardson; man with the
most games, Ray Consitt; man
with the least games, Stanley
Mitchell; most lone hands, Heber
Shute. Two draws were made
during lunch and a packaged
chicken was won by Roy Pepper
and an angel cake won by
Stewart Blackwell.

patient in South Horon Hospital,
Exeter.
Mrs. Bertha MacGregor
visited recently with Mrs.
Dorothy Munroe in Seaforth.
Mr. & Mrs. Orville Taylor, and
sons Robert, Hensall Orville,
Brockville; James, Harriston
and Mrs. Percy Wright, Kippen,
flew to Courtney, British Colum-
bia to attend the funeral of Mr. &
Mrs. Taylor's son, Neil
MacLaren Taylor, who passed
away November 21 in his 40th
year. A full military funeral ser-
vice was held on Friday with
burial at Edmonton, Alberta.
David Leader is a patient in
South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
Mr, & Mrs. Robert Chaffe,
Jackie and Tony, Mitchell visited
recently with Mrs. Chaffe's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Corbett and Al.
The Treasure Chest Hunt
Contest heard on radio station
CKNX Wingham daily was won
last week by a Hensall woman
Mrs. Rachel Schwalm, who won
$92.50. The correct answer was
"Allen Park", located between
Hanover and Durham, which is
the home of the satellite "Anik,
the first domestic communica-
tion in orbit and is in position now
above Alberta.
Mr. & Mrs. Randy Mason, Lon-
don and Mr. & Mrs. John Skea
Jr., Huron Park, visited Sunday
with their parents Mr. & Mrs.
John Skea and David.
Mrs. John Schofield and Elsie,
Parkhill visited one day last
week and Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Hey,
Crediton, visited Friday with Mr.
& Mrs. Gordon Schwalm.
The November 8 meeting of the
Hensall Kinette Club was held at
the home of Mary Lou Hyde. The
Kinettes will be visiting the shut-
ins December 3 and December 13
they will be entertaining patients
at the Goderich Psychiatric
Hospital. A donation of $1,000 is
being given to the Kinsmen
toward the purchase of the trac-
tor they are giving to the Hensall
Parks Board for use at the Hen-
salt Arena. The raffle was won by
Sharon Brokenshire.
A wreath was laid on behalf of
the Kinette club at the Remem-
