The children enjoyed bingo and
games under Mrs. Al Hoggarth's
leadership and Mrs. Dave
Triebner conducted the euchre
for the adults.
Winners in the euchre were:
ladies high, Mrs. Charles Eyre,
ladies second, Mrs. Glen Bell;
ladies low, Mrs. R. Kinsman;
men's high, Wm Bell; men's
second, Glen Bell; low, Ken

The UCW. of St. Andrew's
church, Kippen met at the home
of Mrs. N. Dickert on November
22, with Mrs. R, McGregor as co-
hostess, Mrs. Wm. Bell, the
president, opened the meeting
with a hymn, Mrs. Keith Love
gave the devotional on
thankfulness and gratitude.
Mrs. Emerson Anderson con-
tinued the study of Africa. Mrs.
Robert Turner gave two musical
numbers. Reports were given by
the treasurer, Mrs. Ken
McLedlan the rose convener,
Mrs. .L, Finlayson, and the
Sunshine convener, Mrs. N.
Dickert,
It was decided to have the
Rev. Father Basil Sullivan,
C.S.B. Toronto visited Mrs. Chas.
Glavin and Mr. & Mrs. Pat
Sullivan (Sr.) and their families
for a few days and returned home
by train.
Mrs. Betty Scratch is a patient
in Exeter Hospital.
John Campbell has returned
home from South Huron Hospital
after being a patient there for ten
days.
The Christmas fair and bazaar
held in the school Gym last
Saturday afternoon was a great
success with a very large crowd
attending. Door prizes were won
by: Bridget Ryan; a baby quilt
by Alice Dietrich; christmas
cake by Carl Radford; guessing
weight of, a duck and winning it,

Kippen II 4-H Club, the Kippen
Kabobs, held their eighth
meeting at the home of the assis-
tant leader, Lynn Alderdice, The
Subject was the setting of a
buffet table and the girls enter-
tained their parents to a buffet
dinner followed by games and
contests. About 27 were present
at the event.

South Huron Hospital, Exeter
and was later transferre'd to St.
Joseph's Hospital, London,
The sympathy of the communi-
ty goes out to Mr. & Mrs, Percy
Wrigth in the loss of the latter's

Mr, & Mrs. Robert Stokes, Lon-
don visited with Robert Thomp-
son.

Lorne McBride spent a few
days in Kitchener with Mr. &
Mrs. Wilbert McBride.
Sympathy of the community
goes to a former resident, Mrs.
Norman Long, in the loss of her
brother Fred Rountree whose
death occurred last Friday in
Owen Sound Hospital.

The Official Board of the
Grand Bend Pastoral Charge
held its semi-annual meeting in
the United Church here last
Wednesday evening. Several
items of interest were discussed
pertaining to the coming year's
activities, including participation
in the Key 73 ecumenical
program for this continent and in
the Mission and Service Cluster
meetings of Huron-Perth
Presbytery.
The sympathy of this com-
munity is extended to the family
of the late Mrs. Wm. Lovie, who
passed away at the home of Mr.
& Mrs. Orval Mellin.
Mr. & Mrs. Walter Lagerwerf
and family were dinner guests
Sunday at the home of Mr. &
Mrs. Graham Eagleson.
