Dickert, It was decided to have the Rev. Father Basil Sullivan, C.S.B. Toronto visited Mrs. Chas. Glavin and Mr. & Mrs. Pat Sullivan (Sr.) and their families for a few days and returned home by train. Mrs. Betty Scratch is a patient in Exeter Hospital. John Campbell has returned home from South Huron Hospital after being a patient there for ten days. The Christmas fair and bazaar held in the school Gym last Saturday afternoon was a great success with a very large crowd attending. Sympathy of the community goes to a former resident, Mrs. Norman Long, in the loss of her brother Fred Rountree whose death occurred last Friday in Owen Sound Hospital. The Official Board of the Grand Bend Pastoral Charge held its semi-annual meeting in the United Church here last Wednesday evening. Several items of interest were discussed pertaining to the coming year's activities, including participation in the Key 73 ecumenical program for this continent and in the Mission and Service Cluster meetings of Huron-Perth Presbytery. The sympathy of this com- munity is extended to the family of the late Mrs. Wm. Lovie, who passed away at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Orval Mellin.
