James Cun- ningham, The 'bride given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of white delustred satin trimmed at the neck and wrists with laee, and featuring tiny white buttons and a floor-length sash of white velvet, Her veil was caught by a head-piece of velvet and satin, and she carried a .1 e ?ow JOIN SORORITY — Three new members underwent their pledge ritual at a recent banquet and became members of Alpha. Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Shown from left are sorority president Louise Giffin, new members Jay Skillenden, Lillian Campbell and Evelyn Josephson, and vice-president, Debra Newby. They were gowned alike in floor-length pink crepe, with short vests of burgun- dy velvet, and carried nosegays of pink carnations, tiny white mums and baby's breath. The best man was Robert Nix- on, and the ushers were Michael Keay, Donald Morley and Robert Ilogarth. The organist was Susal Lindner and the soloist was Janet delher, The reception following the ceremony was held at the Gypsy Lane Inn on the Hockley Road. a Former Exeter minister installs hospital auxiliary executive The couple left on a honeymoon trip to the Laurentians, the bride wearing a two-piece ensemble of plaid taffeta, with velvet collar and cuffs. Adams, October 21, 1972, Father A, Durand con- ducted the ceremony and Mrs. Stephen Meidinger was the organist, The bride wore a white satin gown trimmed with lace and carried yellow sweetheart roses with white carnations. Phylis Kellerman, sister of the bride was the matron of honor and cousins of the bride, Elaine Masse and Bonnie Masse were the bridesmaids. They wore floor length gowns of orange ice polyester knit. Ernest Morenz was the best man and guests were ushered by Gerard Masse and Bob Beorner, Following a reception at Dashwood Community Centre, the couple left for a wedding trip to Nova Scotia. HARVEY RICHARD ADAMS Catherine A. Corbett formerly of Exeter, left this past weekend to reside in Ottawa. She has been accepted for a position there in the Deparment of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. Mr. & Mrs. Sam Jory celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary November 7 at South Huron Hospital. Mrs, Jory is a patient there, recovering from a broken hip. Mr. & Mrs. Murray Neil received word of the death of Mrs. Neil's brother-in-law, Percy Cave of Surrey, B.C. patients and staff at the hospital. The patient is our most impor- tant consideration, said Mrs. J.G. Dunlop, and we must cater to their needs first, both directly and by keeping the staff happy. The auxiliary has 120 paid members. Results of the annual fall rum- mage sale were announced at the regular monthly meeting of the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary Tuesday afternoon, and they showed only about $1 difference between the results of the spring and fall sales. The total receipts amounted to $1,676.62 with a net profit of $1,476,89. Over 130 ladies worked at the autumn rummage sale. The annual meeting and in- stallation of officers was also held Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Ted Pooley Sr, officiated at the annual meeting with officers in- stalled by Pastor Bodenham, former Baptist Minister in Ex- eter, Officers for 1972 - 73 are: past president, Mrs. Mel Gaiser; president, Mrs. Walter Davis; first vice, Mrs. Tom MacMillen; second vice, Mrs. Roylance Westcott; recording secretary, Mrs. Earl Campbell; correspon- ding secretary, Miss Marion Bissett; treasurer, Mrs. Norman Stanlake. Total receipts for the past year were $4,904,23, with expenditures of $1,757.37. In addition to savings of almost $3,900, the auxiliary has $6,000 in investments, for assets totaling $9,899.90. This is quite high for the aux- iliary. They have spent less than usual in the past two years, however, in order to be able to assist with future additions and/or alterations to the hospital.
