By now, you've probably received your new Postal Code, And you may have seen or heard ads telling people in big cities how accurate and corn, plicated their codes are. Well, your local code is not as complicated. Obviously, since fewer people live in your area, we don't need as many codes. In fact, all we need is one code to represent all the people in your town and on your rural route. So, if you forget your code, just ask one of your neighbours. Then don't Get the habit. forget, send it to your friends. If they live in big cities, tell them how complicated their life is. And if yOu haven't received your Code by October 16th, please call your local Post Office. We will mail it to you immediately. It is possible however, that you'are not in the Southwestern Ontario Postal District, in which case your area may not have been coded yet. POSTAL CODER:151a CC OE FOSTN. There are more people besides Don Matthews (as you suggest) who don't know too much about the hockey business. Bobby Hull knew before he signed with the WHA that it would not be legal for him to play with Team Canada, Was there a bit of conceit? Did he think he only had to make an issue out of it and he would have his way? • As far as Trudeau is concerned, why did he snub Clarence Campbell when he asked for a meeting with him to explain the rules and reasons why Hull would be barred from playing? Maybe Don Matthews did speak a bit out of place (maybe he has a reason for saying what Honor bride at Dashwood By MRS. BANGHART, KELLY, D016 8( CO. Chartered Accountants 476 Main St. S., EXETER 285.6120 he did), but it sure is peanuts to what Trudeau says that is out of place — swearing, etc. Through Trudeau's four years of government, anytime Canadians protested against government legislation, such as exchanging ambassadors to' the Vatican (and they did by the thousands), he simply ignored it. Perhaps it was because he was about to call an election that he chirped about Hull being allowed to play with Team Canada. Only a narrow minded person would use this incident to hold back his vote, It has nothing to do with better government for Canada. Team Canada did fine without Bobby Hull. Yours truly, Mrs. Harry Hendrick Exeter, October 2, 1972. Dear Sir: Would you be kind enough to print this in your paper for the town council of Exeter. As there has been a lot of talk lately in regards to the town dump, I would say that I don't think it will do any good to put a gate across the present road to the dump because this was tried before and you know what happened. Walter Davis and myself were talking about the town dump the other evening and he came up with what I call a great idea. He said there was a gate going into the dump off 83 highway. So why not make a road into the present one from 83 highway? Then everyone could be watching for the offenders and if they saw anyone around the gate at times when not allowed, they could call the police. Another thing, the OPP travel this road a lot at all hours, day and night, so people would think twice before doing things they shouldn't. They could make the road winding from 83 into the dump and this would cut off the view of the dump from the high- way. I really think this is the only way to protect the dump. The present road into the dump can't be watched very good because where the gate goes it is hidden from view from the main high- way. To stop them from using the present road to the dump, they could dig a deep ditch across it. Thanking you Yours truly, Carl Fletcher I• • a. v. Fete clerk's wife at Saintsbury event
