the Dashwood No. I 4-H girls'
club was held at the Beaver
residence. Officers elected. were:
president, Darlene Rader; .vice
president, Debbie Riddell;
secretary, Olga Zernitis;
treasurer, Marie Beaver; press
reporter, Judy Guy.

of a pizza which was served for
lunch.
A record book and recipe file
must be kept by all members,
The club's name is to be decided
on next meeting as part of the roll
call, The two leaders of this
project, "The Third Meal", are
Mrs. Violet Bender and Mrs.
Marie Beaver.

The Exeter Agricultural Society wishes to
express a sincere thank you to the exhibitors,
supporters, merchants and all others who assisted
in any way at the Exeter Fall Fair.
An event of this nature can only succeed with
the interest and participation of a great many
people and the efforts expended by so many this
year was most appreciated.

Friends, relatives and neigh-
bours met in Shipka Community
Centre Saturday evening for a
miscellaneous shower for Scott
Sweitzer and Joan Donaldson, to
honor them on their approaching
marriage in October.
Entertainment included two
vocal duets by Greg and Gail
Brady, cousins of the groom-to-
be, and instrumental numbers by
Harold and Grant Jones, Hensall.
The lucky-chair draw was won
by Ervin Ratz and the lucky plate
by Mrs. Ervin Ratz.
Hostesses for this event were
two aunts of the groom, Mrs.
Jack Pickering, and Mrs. Milton

and relatives met Sunday af-
ternoon at Blackbush school to
honor Lynda Nicklom, London,
bride elect ofearly October,with a
miscellaneour shower,
A short musical program
preceded the gift opening. Sandra
Schroeder played 2 piano num-
bers and Sue Anne Schroeder
sang two songs accompanying
herself on guitar. Brock & Mark
Adams played 2 trumpet duets,
followed by a humorous reading
by Hazel Corbett.
Hostesses were the groom's
three aunts, Mrs. Les Adams,
Mrs. Harry Chapman, Mrs. John
Corbett, Lynda graciously
thanked everyone,
recipients of many lovely gifts
including a plaque from the
Premier of Ontario.

Mr. & Mrs, Ross Love ac-
companied by Mr, & Mrs. Lloyd
Love, Parkhill, vacationed at
Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, and
other Northern places last week.
Mrs, John Heckman, who has
been in St. Joseph's hospital,
London, for some time following
an accident, has beentransferred
to South Huron hospital, Exeter.
Jayne Hayter appeared on the
Junior talent show on CFPL TV
Sunday.
Gabriele Schuler, Rottenberg,
Germany, visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Hayter and family
and other relatives.
Mr. & Mrs. V, L. Becker
returned home last week
following a week's tour of Lon-
don, England, and vicinity. Four
hundred International Harvester
dealers from all across Canada
took part. They toured most of
London, visiting castles and
attending live theatre. Don-
caster, where the International
foundry and factory is located
was of interest. They also visited
