Dip slices of bread in the mixture, and saute in butter, turning to brown both sides. Serve with Maple syrup, honey or jam, Broiled Cheese-Tomato-Bacon Sandwiches (Serves 4) Beat up an egg or two; mix with about .;4cup grated nippy cheese. Season with salt, paprika, cayenne, and a few drops of Worcestershire sauce. Toast 4 slices of bread on one side; spread this mixture on the un- toasted side; lay a thick slice of firm tomato on each; top the tomato with 2 thin slices of bacon. Broil slowly until the bacon is done. Variation: Substitute 4 thin slices of cheese for the egg- cheese mixture, and place the cheese on top of the tomato, If canned salmon leaves you cold, this fabulous recipe will become a supper-time favorite. Carol's Salmon Loaf 1 oz. can of salmon, drained and flaked 1 can cream-of-celery soup '2 cup chopped onion 1 Tbsp lemon juice 12 cup mayonnaise 1 egg, beaten 1 cup dry bread crumbs 14 cup chopped green peppers 1 tsp salt Combine add pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour, Bread PuddingDeLuxe(Serves 4 egg yolks 1 2 cup sugar 1 4 tsp salt 1 Tbsp melted butter 1 tsp vanilla 4 cups hot milk 2 cups bread, crusts removed, cubed 4 egg whites Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and salt.
