Arthur Teevins, Grand Bend,
died at Westminster Hospital,
London, July 19, 1972 in his 77th
year.
He was the husband of the
former Eleanor Tucklinsky, and
father of Mrs. Marvin (Dorothy)
Kent, Mt. Clemens, Michigan;
Mrs. Don (Francis) Hazelwood,
St. 'Thomas; Mrs, David
(Patricia) Sitoyles, Windsor;
Grant, London Township; and
John, Grand Bend,
Also surviving are his sister,
Mrs. Margaret Clute, Peter-
borough, 16 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
Mr. Teevins served in both
wars and lived in Kitchener and
London before residing in Grand
Bend for the last 16 years.
Funeral services were con-
ducted by Rev. Dobson at the T,
Hoffman Funeral Home,
Dashwood, June 91, 1972, with
interment in Grand Bend
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harry
Hamilton, Everett Desjardine,
Earl Thompson, Clayton
Mothers, Carmen Lovie and
Ernie Gross.
Mrs. Lizzie Chivers of Grimsby
spent last week .visiting with IVO.

family moved to the residence
they recently puchased from Mr.
& Mrs. George Walker, who have
taken up residence in London.

Friday from a week vacation to
Holland, where he visited

and Karen, arrived recently from
Hong Kong to spent a months
holiday with the former's
parents, Mr. & Mrs. Russel
Brock, other relatives and
friends.
&Mrs:DOTI Brock, Bruce
and Beth, Stayner, also visited
the Brocks for a few days before
leaving for Scotland and
England. Don will be teaching in
Falmouth, England next year on
a teacher exchange basis.
Rev, & Mrs. W. J. Rogers and
Brenda, of Bramalee, visited
with Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Mitchell
last Friday.
Mr. & Mrs, Arthur Gittus and
sons returned to their home in
Rochester Minnesota, after
visiting with the former's
parents, Mr, & Mrs. Thomas
Gittus.
Thirteen pieces in a "baker's
dozen" orginated when King
Louis of France warned all
bakers who gave under measure
that they would be beheaded.
A well known Hensall area
man, James W. Venner, passed
away at the Queensway Nursing
Home July 19, 1972, in his 61st
year.
Surviving are one brother,
Lloyd, Hensall, and several
nieces and nephews. A sister
Mrs. William (Florence) Kyle
predeceased him in 1971.
Funeral services were held at
the Bonthron Funeral Chapel,
Hensall, July 22, 1972 with Rev.
Don Beck officiating. Internment

lady dies
Olive (Workman) Britton,
formerly of Hensall, passed away
suddenly at Stratford Hospital,
July 20, 1972 in her 64th year.
She was the wife of Herbert J.
Britton, Mitchell and mother of
Mrs. Len (Gwen) O'Rourke,
Seaforth, Mrs. Nick (Joan)
Vanderrney, Dauphin, Manitoba,
Mrs. 'Larry (Margaret) Dale,
Seaforth, and Kenneth, Hibbert
Township. Also surviving are her
sister, Mrs. Norman (Mabel)
Stanlake, Exeter, and nine
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
from the Lochart Funeral Home,
Mitchell, July 24, 1972, with in-
terment in Woodland Cemetery.
The late Mrs. Britton spent her
early years in Hensall, and was a
former member of Carmel
Presbyterian Church. After
graduating from Normal School,
she taught in the Mitchell area.
