HURON BOARD OFFICES — This is an architect's sketch of the
building which will house the Huron County Board of Education
offices in Clinton. An estimated $198,000 will be spent in
transforming the former Par-Knit Hosiery factory into offices by
November 1. The renovations contract has been awarded to James
Hayman Construction Ltd., London. The board had rejected another
proposal for the construction of a new building for $285,875. The
board offices are presently located in the former nurses' residence of
Clinton Hospital, while the board room and the offices of the
student services personnel are located at Central Huron Secondary
School. All will be combined in the former factory located on
Clinton's Main St., about two blocks north of the main intersection.
