Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Craw,
Cheryl and Craig, Saugerties,
New York, are holidaying in
Grand Bend at Huron Vista, Mr.
& Mrs. Doug Burns of Peterboro
are also visiting there.
Cadets from Kitchener arrived
at Ipperwash Army Camp last
Saturday. The 1,085 cadets taking
part in the army sponsored
courses come from most urban
centres in Ontario.

members answered the roll call
with a current event from the
days newspaper.
During business it was decided
to keep the Institute's adopted
child for another year. Members
decided not to set up a display at
Mitchell fair.
Mrs. Ross McPhail presided
for the program and introduced
the guest speaker, Mrs. Anne
Burchill, Dublin who gave an
interesting account of her duties
as clerk of Hibbert Township, She
was thanked by Mrs, Charles
Douglas.
Mrs, Lloyd Miller gave a paper
on the motto, "Our heritage of
Freedom like a jewel is ours to
guard." Six young ladies en-
tertained with several step-
dancing numbers; Jill Harburn,
Nancy Scott, Barbara Meikle,
Janice Vivian, Betty Ann Miller
and Karen Miller,
Mrs. Ed Chappel gave the
District Annual report. Mrs.
Carter Kerslake introduced
"Quite Time" on the Mary
Stewart Collect.

an interesting contest on iden-
tifying provincial flowers and
buildings.

Mrs. Eldon Allen was hostess
for the July meeting of Cromarty
Ladies' Aid. The president, Mrs.
James Miller, opened the
meeting with prayer and Mrs,
Laverne Wallace was in charge
of devotions. Seven members
answered the roll call with a
safety precaution in use in their
home.
During the business period, it
was decided to donate $200 to
David Scott a graduate from
Three Rivers School,Sarawak, to
assist in bringing Erong Ak
Imang to Mitchell to continue his
education. A donation of $500 was
given to the board of managers,
Mrs. Eldon Allen gave the report
on the strawberry supper, which
showed, that over 700 people were
served. The purchase of two
stools for the kitchen was ap-
proved.
Mrs. Wallace conducted a
contest on faces, won by Mrs. G.
Carey and Mrs. C. Douglas.
Mr. & Mrs. Glen Lindsay and
Serena Sue, St. Marys, visited
Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Robert
Gardiner.
Mr. & Mrs, Lorne Splane and
Beverly, London, spent the
weekend at the home of Mr. &
Mrs. Gordon Scott.
