Church lives
• if people hear
By MANUEL CURTS
GREEN WAY
"A church lives only if the
people hear. One must examine
the truth and believe, to find the
right way." This in essence was
the message of Dale Battram of
Parkhill as he addressed the
audience attending the United
Church Sunday School an-
niversary service Sunday.
Dale has his BA, in Economics
from Western University and
plans on attending Stratford
Teachers' College', this fall. The,
Junior Choir was 'assisted in `the'"
music by Kim Pickth'ing of Ailsa
Craig. Next Sunday Holy Com-
munion will be administered at
the 10 a.m. service.
Personals
The sympathy of the com-
munity is extended to the family
of the late Dean Brown who
passed away in St. Joseph's
Hospital Friday.

people at their strawberry and
ham supper last Wednesday.

By the way: When a man
telephones home informing his
wife that he will be late, he is
either finishing something or
starting something.
Small daughter: "Mamma,
why did you marry Daddy?"
Mother: "So you've begun to
wonder too?"
