school anniversary service was
held, The Sunday School choir
sang several numbers under the
leadership of Mrs, Reg Hodgert
with Nancy Alexander at the
piano. Agnes Bray was the
organist.
Rev, Bruce Guy, Dashwood,
gave an inspiring message, The
church was decorated with fern
and peonies.

The June meeting of the United
Church Women was held in the
basement of the church with 27
members present. Mrs. Nelson
Baker opened, with quiet music.
Mrs. Harry Webber read the Call
to Worship. A reading was given
by Mrs. Alex Gartenburg.
Mrs. Webber read a meditation
entitled "Travelling". A ladies
quartette of Mrs. Glenn
Copeland, Mrs. Wm. Spence,
Mrs. Lloyd Cowdrey and Mrs.
John Rodd favoured with a
musical number. Mrs. Gar-
tenburg and Mrs. Webber gave
other readings and Mrs. Webber
closed the worship service with
prayer,
Rev. Mrs, J. King was called to
the front and an address was read
by Mrs. Ted Insley and Mrs. Don
Brine presented Mrs, King with a
parting gift prior to her
retirement from active service.
Mrs. John Rodd conducted the
business and closed the meeting
with prayer.
Lunch was served by the group
in charge.
