Dashwood couple
wed 50 years
Mr. and Mrs, Reinhold Miller,
Dashwood, recently celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married May 10, 1922
at Zion Lutheran Church in Dash-
wood, by Pastor Paul Graupner,
Mrs. Miller was the former
Amelia Miller, and was attended
at her wedding by Mrs. Eleanore
Koessel. The best man was
Rudolph Miller.
Mr, and Mrs. Miller 1:•reci on a
farm one and a half miles north of
Dashwood from their marriage,
until three years ago, when they
moved to Dashwood,
They have three children; Mrs.
Cohn (Martha) Hindley, London,
Mrs. Harold (Lorna) Main,
Kitchener and a son, Hubert,
Dashwood. The Millers also have
eight grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller were
honoured by 21 members of their
immediate family at a dinner
Saturday night at the Dashwood
Hotel, Sunday, relatives and
friends enjoyed a dinner with
them at Blackbush school.
Mr, Miller has been a director
of the Hay Mutual Fire Insurance
Company for 30 years.

the groom is the son of Mr. and

MARRIED IN CLINTON — Margaret Postma, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Postma, Varna, and Marinus Bakker, son of Mrs. R.
Bakker, Auburn, were married on April 28, 1972 in Christian
Reformed Church, Clinton. Margaret is a graduate of Centralia
College in Animal Health Technology. They will reside at RR 3

The wedding vows of
Rosemary Ducharme, and Terry
Vanbrueene were solemnized at
St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church in St. Joseph's, May 6,
1972.
The bride wore a white silk
organza gown, with long sheer
sleeves and a high neck-line. Her
dress was trimmed with delicate
lace and had a detachable, chapel
length train. The .dress was
complemented by a double-tier,
full-length, silk illusion veil.
Carrying a cascade of bridal
pink sweetheart roses and
German statice, the bride was
escorted by her father.
The service was conducted by
Father A. Robert and music was
provided by Mrs. Henry Rau, and
her four daughters.
The bridal attendants, Colleen
Geoffrey, Wendy Vanbruaene,
MARRIED RECENTLY — Beth Marie Dorman, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James Dorman, Ailsa Craig, and William Herman Gill, son of
Mr. and Mrs. William J. Gill, Thedford, were married at the home of
the groom's parents, April 14, 1972. The service was conducted by
Rev. David Aide of Petrolia. Attendants were Betty Blanchard and
Norman Stewart. The couple will live at RR 2 Ailsa Craig.

Ruth Anne Kerr and Larry
William Luther were solemnized
in Exeter. United Church
May 6, 1972.
Two baskets of white and
yellow shasta mums, with
heather and fern decorated the
church, as the bride was given
away by her father, Rev. Glen
Wright conducted the service and
Robert Cameron of Hensell
provided the music,
The bride wore a gown of
crystal charm organza with
yellow satin ribbon and em-
broidered insertion trim around
the waistline and skirt. She had a
shoulder length four-tiered veil
with a scalloped embroidery edge
held by a cluster of petal point
roses and lily-of-the-valley.
Her bouquet was a large
nosegay of white shasta mums
with yellow roses and heather.
The attendants, Mrs. Gaye
Kerr, matron of honour, and
bridesmaids Doris Ann Ferguson
and Marilyn Pfaff were dressed
alike in lilac taffeta with an
overlay of chiffon and multi-
coloured brocade waistlines. The
junior bridesmaid, Kimberly
Lang, was dressed in a white and
yellow gown fashioned after the
bride's.
The girls carried nosegay
bouquets of yellow and white
shasta mums with heather.
The best man was Stanley
Heiman, and the ushers were
Sandy Thompson and Ernest
Kerr.

flower girl, Lynda Grenier, niece
of the bride, were dressed alike in
long, empire-waisted gowns of
pink floral sheer over taffeta.
They carried bouquets of pink-
eweetpeas and mauve and pink
miniature carnations,
Ray Desjardine was the best
man; Dennis Ducharme was the
groomsman and the ushers were
Jerome Ducharme and Bradley
Hamilton.
Following a reception at Dash-
wood Community Centre, the
couple left on a two-week
honeymoon to Washington, New
York, Miami and Nassau.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Victor Ducharme, RR 2
Zurich, Ontario and the groom is
the son of Mr, and Mrs. Prosper
Vanbruaene, Grand Bend. -
The bride was honoured at
showers in London, and in the
Parish Hall at St. Joseph's.
The couple will reside in Grand
Bend.
