Mrs. Gerald Carey presided for
the April meeting of the Marian
Ritchie evening auxiliary, which
was held in the church, Tuesday
evening.
Mrs. Carey opened the meeting
with a poem, My Garden, and
Mrs. Norman Harburn read the
scripture.
The Study Book discussion,'led
by Mrs. Robert Laing dealt with
the problems facing the people of
Africa, especially those of the
language, education, lack of
skilled manpower, future over-
population and unemployment.
The topic, prepared by Mrs, M.
Lam ond, was presented by
Mrs. Larry Gardiner. She pointed
out the reason for the supply
fund, and listed the various
projects in the world that were
being financed by it.
The roll call was answered by
naming a good book and its
author.
Mrs. Gardiner conducted a
Bible quiz and the meeting closed
with the Lord's prayer.

After being confined to the
Seaforth Community Hospital for
a few weeks, Mrs, Esther Moore
returned home Friday.
Mr. & Mrs. Otto Walker visited
with Mr. & Mrs. Jack McGhee
London, and also with Mrs.
Walker's sister, Mrs. Frank
Erwin, and Mr. Erwin at Putman
recently.

Glenn Bell were entertained by

their 40th wedding anniversary.

at the home of their son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Bell, where the other
relatives had gathered.
The evening was spent in
playing cards after which a
smorgasbord luncheon was
served.
