Hospital undergoing surgery.
Bert Greenlee of Exeter visited
Roy Hodgins, Saturday,
Mr. & Mrs. Harold Martin and
family, having sold their farm,
have taken up residence in Ailsa
Craig.
Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Stacey of
Strathroy visited last week with
their daughter Mrs. Don Taylor
of Brinsley who is recovering
from an operation.

meeting of Centralia United
Church Women opening with the
hymn "Hallelujah".
A poem "Spring" was read by
Mrs. Murray Elliott and a vocal
duet was sung by Mrs. Ross
McFalls and Mrs. Harold
Lightfoot, accompanied by Mrs.
Alvin Essery on the piano.
Surjob Butt from Pakistan
spoke on his country including
government, religion, customs
and traditions. Mr. Butt married
his wife over the phone from
London. He later returned to his
native country and brought her
over here and is now teaching at
Sir George Ross school.
Mrs. Bob Blair conducted the
business. Reports were heard
including one from the
Presbyterial in Stratford by Mrs.
Wm. R. Essery.
Spoeaker for the tea in May will
be Molly McGhee, assistant
principal at the Agricultural
College, Centralia.
An invitation to attend Crediton
May meeting was accepted. A
vote of thanks was extended to
Mrs. W. R. Essery who was
hostess for the sewing bee for
shirts for Pakistan.

The March meeting of the
Elimville Women's Institute was
held March 29 when they en-
tertained all former members.
The president, Mrs. Elson Lynn
was in charge and opened the
meeting with the Institute Ode
and Mary Stewart Collect.
Roll Call was answered by
"Wearing your oldest hat and tell
why it was purchased? Last
meeting's minutes and com-
munications were read. A
minutes silence was observed in
memory of the late Mrs. Alvin
Cooper.
Mrs. Theron Creery was in
charge of the program on
Tweedsmuir History. Mrs.
Freeman Horne favoured with a
piano solo. A humorous skit,
"The Monthly Meeting that
Wasn't" was enjoyed.
During the business in the skit'
Mrs. Elson Lynn gave her report
of attending the 75th anniversary
of the Women's Institute held in
Toronto.
Mrs. Howard Pym led in a sing-
song. Others taking part in the
skit were Mrs. Philip Hern', Mrs.
Theron Creery, Mrs. Ron Flet-
cher, Mrs. Franklin Skinner,
Mrs. Horace Delbridge, Mrs.
