anthem with Robert Blackwell

Announcements were made for
A Good Friday Service at 7:30
and a special Easter Service.
Pentecostal
Mr. & Mrs. John Armitage
were in charge of the music at
Penteeostal morning worship.
In his sermon Rev. Rees said
the question might arise 'What
did these people in this crowd and
in Jerusalem think of Jesus? but
perhaps a better question would
be 'What do we think of Jesus'?"
The evening message was one
of a series from Revelations.
Announcements were made for
Good Friday Service at which
communion will be served and
for the Easter program
presented by the Sunday School
at 10:00. The regular worship
service will be combined with the
program.

The Women's Auxiliary met
Tuesday evening in the home of
Mrs. Ernest Ferguson.
Mrs. Howard Currie presided
and was also in charge of the
devotional which took the form of
church doctrinal study. The
lesson for this month was "The
Nature and Work of the Holy
Spirit." Each lady participated in
Bible research.
Visiting girls, Esther and
Trudy Eizenga sang "Shepherd
of Love."
Lunch was served by the
hostess.
Anglican Church
Sunday, a Service of Lessons
and Hymns for Palm Sunday was
held. The various lessons were
read by Anne Stanley, Brenda
Williamson, Nanci Lewis, Bill
Carson, Bill Henderson, Sandra
Avery, Dorothy Buridge and
Brenda Haskett.
The Music Director Lois Legg
was in charge of the choir and
presided at the organ,

RACE WINNER
March 19 there was an all
Western Ontario daily double at
Windsor Raceway. Neil
McRann's Lucan Championdale
was a wire to wire winner of the
first with Rich Moffatt on the
bike.
Ken Hardy, Lucan haltered out
Star Threat in the third race for
$65.00 .
Communion will be celebrated at
7:00 p.m. in the Church. Good
Friday, there will be a devotional
service at 11:00 a.m. An ;Easter
Sunrise Holy Communion will be
held at 6 a.m. Sunday.
The Sunday School will meet at
9:45 and at11.:00 a.m, The Easter
Festival, Holy Communion will be
held.
The Anglican Church Women
will meet April 5 in the home of
Mrs. Edna liodgins. The Girl
Guides meet Monday; Wed-
nesday, Brownies and Cubs.

March 21, Lucan Women's
Institute held their monthly
meeting at the home of Mrs,
Helen Carling, The President
Mrs. H, Sneigrove welcomed the
ladies and roll call, "A tree with
uses of its wood," was answered
by 13,
Secretary Mrs, J. Lockyer read
the minutes and correspondence.
An invitation to attend the 4-H
dress review at the Parish Hall,
April 8, was accepted.
The glass collection for re-
cycling sponsored by Lucan,
Granton and Clandeboye
Institutes was discussed.
Lucanites to deliver to Lockyer
Machine Shop before 1:30 p.m.
April 22. Clean jars and bottles
with tops and labels removed are
acceptable.
Nine members will' attend the
75th anniversary dinner of
Federated Women at Thorndale
April 10.
Mrs. L. McGuffin convener of
Agriculture and Industries gave
an interesting paper on the
beginning of Agriculture and
changes over the years. She
pointed out how fortunate we
should feel with our industries;
we have everything.
The convener concluded with
motto "One touch of Nature
makes the whole world akin,"
referring to the sun when it goes
down it continues to shine on the
rest of the world.
Winner of the mystery prize
was Mrs. C. Robb.
