After certain members of Branch 540 — no names — no pack drill, in a certain weekly newspaper — the ladies of the Lucan and area Bowling League thought this would be as good a time as any and have requested the men of Branch 540 to prepare, cook and serve their 1972 windup banquet. Comrades we have accepted the challenge and are prepared to look after the banquet on Wednesday, May 3, Now if you receive a call from the Head Chef of this venture please be ready to co-operate and lend a hand. Pat Chefurka, president of the Middlesex North Riding Association, announced that the Middlesex Federal nomination meeting will be held within a month. She introduced three of the candidates who intend to run for the nomination; Ray Funk of Exeter, Leroy Wright, Watford, and Svend Tybring, London.
