Ryden 515) eight o'clock with the third contest slated for the Huron Park arena, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, The fourth of the best-of- seven series will he played in Ingersoll, Wednesday March 29, The Jets finished off the Easy Movers in the minimum of four games with a convincing 15 - 4 win in Point Edward, Thursday night. Ingersoll took a two goal lead in the first half of the opening period and the Jets were never able to catch up. Don Longfield and Tom Murphy put Ingersoll in front 2 - 0 by the 11 minute mark. With less than two minutes to go in the first period, Jet playing coach Jack Nairn completed a three-way passing effort with Pete Loveless and Dick Doughty to put the Ingersoll margin to a single goal. The only two goals of the middle frame came in quick succession. Longfield notched his second of the night at 2,40 and 44 seconds later Nairn was hack with his second on a pass from defenceman Don Urbshott, A power play at 4.30 of the third period put the Jets on even terms for the first time, Bill Bourne was on the firing end of the successful Male curlers in real battle Close competition continues in the third draw of the Exeter men's curling club with a tie existing in one division. Rinks skipped by King McDonald and Dick Roelofson have 42 points each to lead the Tuesday curlers. Peter Raymond's foursome is next in line with 37 points. The leader in Monday night competition is Gord McCarter's rink with 471 2 points. Next in line come Ross Hodgert with 41 points and Lee Webber with 37. Gerry Smith has his aggregation out in front in the Thursday section with 36 points. Right behind with 35 points apiece are rinks headed by Jack Urquhart and Mac Hodgert. This week's scores were: E. Second period spree In the wind-up game against Point Edward, the Jets scored six times in the first period and broke the game wide open with no less than eight successful shots on the second twenty minutes of play. Dick Doughty and playing coach Jack Nairn each scored three times to lead the Jets in the rout over Point Edward. Next in line with two goals apiece came Pete Loveless and Jamie Robb while single scores were not- ched by Bob Knack, Terry Bourne, Barry Baynham, Steve Proctor and Don Urbshott, Mike Levan and John Hocking each scored twice to take care of the Point Edward scoring. Zurich leads Hensall club The Zurich Flyers downed the Henson Cascadians 5-3 Sunday afternoon to take a three games to two lead in the best-of-seven final series for the South Huron intermediate hockey cham- pionship. Hensall edged Zurich 6-5 Wednesday night to tie the series. The sixth game was played last night, Wednesday in Hensall. If a seventh game is necessary it will be played in Zurich Sunday af- ternoon. Two goals in the early moments of the third period allowed the Hensall club to post Wednesday's 6 - 5 win and tie the final series at two games apiece. Mike Hoy fired his third goal of the night at the .45 second mark of the third period to tie the score at 5 - 5 and Charlie Schwalm fired what proved to be the winner only 47 seconds later on a three-way passing effort with Bill Chipchase and Ken Smale. Zurich moved in front in the first period on two goals from the stick of Dick Bedard while Hoy replied for the Cascadians. Each team scored three times in the second period to make the score 5 - 4 for Zurich and set the stage for the early third period Hensall rally. Ken Smale, Bill Taylor and Mike Hoy were the Hensall goal getters while Dick Bedard, Glen Overholt and Paul Corriveau replied for Zurich. John: What does "U.S.A." mean? The I-Iawks scoring spree started just after the one minute mark in the second. Larry I-laugh completed a three-way passing effort with Steve Murley and Ron Lindenfield and then Pete Glover ' scored twice in nine seconds, both on passes from Bob Parsons. At 3.57 it was Brian Bestard scoring his first of two second period goals with Pete Klein- stiver and Jim Guenther providing the passing help. With time running out in the second Bestard was back to score again. This time Kleinstiver gained the lone assist. In the third period, Steve Murley scored at 9.05 and Ron Lindenfield and Larry Haugh followed with their second goals of the night to complete the Exeter scoring.
