their wives served supper to the
volunteer fire brigade February
23. Also present were the fire
chiefs of Zurich, Max Klopp, and
Crediton, Allan Becker.
Fire chief Emil Becker
welcomed everyone, A gift was
presented to the retired fire chief,
Gerald Martene, who with his
family is leaving the community,
Dancing was enjoyed following
supper.

the euchre sponsored by the
Dashwood WI. Winners were:
high ladies, Mrs. Ted Steinback;
low, Mrs. Jessie Rader; men,
Frank Lostell and Mrs. Ray
Rader; lone hands, Mrs. Lloyd
Rader.

euchre were in play Wednesday
evening at Shipka Community
Centre.

The organizational meeting of
the Dashwood No, I 4-H
homemaking club was held at the
home of Pat Bender February 1.
The first item of business was the
election of officers, the results
being as follows; president, Olga
Zemitis; vice-president, Darlene
Rader; secretary, Debbie Rid-
dell, and press reporter, Judy
Guy.
The project undertaken being
`Sleepwear,' the club members
may make pyjamas, nightgowns,
housecoats or . loungewear.
At Achievement Day, there will
be a fashion show in which the
girls will have an opportunity to
model their finished garments for
guests.
The leader is Mrs. Violet
Bender and the assistant leader
is Mrs. Marie Beaver.
A combination meeting of the
second and third meeting was
held February 22 at Carolyn
Hartman's home. The club
members selected "P.J.'s
Anonymous" as their club's
nickname.
Handout sheets were filled in
and Olga Zemitis and Darlene
Rader demonstrated how to lay
and pin the pattern pieces in the
