Her granddaughter Chrissy underwent spinal surgery and is now in the Crip- pled Children's Hospital, Toronto. The Ode was sung and Words of Welcome were expressed by president, Mrs. Bruce Shapton. Business was conducted and it was arranged for the West group to be in charge of the Sunday School banquet, Ten dollars was the amount sent to the Erland Lee homestead fund and Mrs. Walter . Weber was named delegate to the officers' con- ference in Guelph. Family Night and smorgasbord supper was planned for the next meeting. Mrs. Walter Weber reported on her day at the 75th anniversary celebration in Toronto. A contest of W.I. knowledge was held and Mrs. B. Shap ton showed a few slides of the 25th anniversary function. Roll call, a favourite use of cheese was responded to with varied uses of cheeses, Theresa Ondrejicka was chair lady for the program, Sandra Shapton read, "Its Always Better With Butter" and Mona Hodgins gave a demonstration on 'Add Milk and Stir' using convenience foods. A luncheon tray was made up and foods demonstrated were tomato soup, vanilla instant pudding and instant chocolate drink. Crediton Club II displayed 'There's Magic in Milk' with Brenda Fahrner as com- mentator. A display of milk products including cheese condensed, evaporated, powdered; butter, ice cream and cream and yogurt were discussed and uses of each given. Ann Muller played a piano solo. Mrs. Shapton presented cups and saucers to county honor girls. Wendy Grasdahl, Kathleen Gielen, Anne Marie Pertschy and Mary Agnes Dietrich. Provincial honor girls were Susan Davey, Mary Conlin and Elva Finkbeiner. Mrs. Norma Hyde gave hi- lights of 4-H work stressing that the leaders teach and help the girls with their problems and need the support of parents or the girls' interests lag. Theresa Ondrejicka thanked the W.I. for their support and the 4-H girls served lunch. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Hall and family visited in London last Friday and with the former's mother who is quite ill in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Don Dumigan, Grand Bend, entertained her sisters Mrs. Geo Bullock, Zurich and Mrs. Harold Prance at tea last Friday. David Gotelaer, Ridgetown, entertained relatives for his 10th birthday at his grand parents Mr. & Mrs. Harold Prance. The storm on Saturday caused many who started for Sarnia to return until the next day. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Finkbeiner attended the funeral, Monday, in London of their aunt, Miss Ellen tNellie) Matson, who passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital February 18, 1972, in her 89th year. Funeral services were held at Euchre party Mr. & Mrs. Sam Skinner, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Lightfoot were in charge of the euchre party in the Community Centre Monday night. Prize winners were: ladies lone hands, Mrs. Percy Noels, high score, Mrs. Earl Dixon; low, Mrs. Alvin Lobb, Men's lone hands, Gordon Bieber; high score, Maurice MacDonald; low, Herman Minderline. The lucky chair prize went to Mrs. Maurice MacDonald. Mr. & Mrs. Larry Cronyn will be assisted by Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Lightfoot in convening the next party March 6. Sleigh ride An old-fashioned sleigh riding party is being arranged for the F. Needham Memorial Chapel London with Rev, R.W. Scott officiating. Burial was at Parkhill Cemetery, The pallbearers were six nephews Willis, Bruce, and Dwight Hotson, Bill Sharrow, Harold Finkbeiner and Tom Rosser.
