4-H club members and
mothers guests of WI
Mrs. Walter Weber and Mrs.
Leonard Wein, catered.
There was a program of
singing and 'kitchen, orchestra'
music after which the group
joined in table games. Walter
Eydenchuk was the mystery
handshake winner and Mrs. Ross
Krueger had the lucky chair.
Harry Schroeder moved a vote of
thanks to the Women's Institute,
Mrs. Chris Dinney has returned
from a visit of several weeks with
Mr. .8.; Mrs. J. Taylor of
Georgetown. Her granddaughter
Chrissy underwent spinal
surgery and is now in the Crip-
pled Children's Hospital,
Toronto.
Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Schenk and
Mr. & Mrs, Charles Glanville
enjoyed a holiday at Bradenton,
Florida, They visited Cypress
Gardens, Hall of Fame, Sarasota
Jungle Gardens, Masterpiece
Gardens .and went deep sea
fishing.

Members of the 4-H clubs and
their mothers were guests at the
February meeting of the Crediton
W.I.
The Ode was sung and Words of
Welcome were expressed by
president, Mrs. Bruce Shapton.
Business was conducted and it
was arranged for the West group
to be in charge of the Sunday
School banquet, Ten dollars was
the amount sent to the Erland
Lee homestead fund and Mrs.
Walter . Weber was named
delegate to the officers' con-
ference in Guelph.
Family Night and smorgasbord
supper was planned for the next
meeting.
Mrs. Walter Weber reported on
her day at the 75th anniversary
celebration in Toronto.
A contest of W.I. knowledge
was held and Mrs. B. Shap ton
showed a few slides of the 25th
anniversary function.
Roll call, a favourite use of
cheese was responded to with
varied uses of cheeses,
Theresa Ondrejicka was chair
lady for the program, Sandra
Shapton read, "Its Always Better
With Butter" and Mona Hodgins
gave a demonstration on 'Add
Milk and Stir' using convenience
foods.
A luncheon tray was made up
and foods demonstrated were
tomato soup, vanilla instant
pudding and instant chocolate
drink.
Crediton Club II displayed
'There's Magic in Milk' with
Brenda Fahrner as com-
mentator.
A display of milk products
including cheese condensed,
evaporated, powdered; butter,
ice cream and cream and yogurt
were discussed and uses of each
given.
Ann Muller played a piano solo.
Mrs. Shapton presented cups
and saucers to county honor girls.
Wendy Grasdahl, Kathleen
Gielen, Anne Marie Pertschy and
Mary Agnes Dietrich.
Provincial honor girls were
Susan Davey, Mary Conlin and
Elva Finkbeiner.
Mrs. Norma Hyde gave hi-
lights of 4-H work stressing that
the leaders teach and help the
girls with their problems and
need the support of parents or the
girls' interests lag.
Theresa Ondrejicka thanked
the W.I. for their support and the
4-H girls served lunch.

Messengers on Saturday af-
ternoon of this week. Boys and
girls are asked to meet at the
church at 1:30 p.m. and tran-
sportation will be provided to the
home of Robert Tindall where
they will be treated to a horse
drawn sleigh ride.
Following the sleigh ride they
will return to the basement of the
chuch for refreshments.

The storm on Saturday caused
many who started for Sarnia to
return until the next day. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Finkbeiner
attended the funeral, Monday, in
London of their aunt, Miss Ellen
tNellie) Matson, who passed
away at St. Joseph's Hospital
February 18, 1972, in her 89th
year.

Nelson Baker opened with quiet

the worship service and gave
readings on Love, Hearts and the
Beatitude. Mrs. John Rodd read
the scripture.
Mrs. Oscar Brine and Mrs.
George Levy gave readings
entitled "Our Needs" and "City
of Dreams". Mrs. Lloyd Cowdrey
