White; vice president, A. Steeper; secretary treasurer, E. Chambers; pianist, Thelma King; assistant, Mabel Jeffrey; press, Elora Wilson; card committee, Mrs. Passmore and Mrs. Earl, After an hour of cards, the program was presented by persons from the Woodham area with Mrs. Copeland as chairladY• There was step dancing by Susan Spence, a duet by Janet and Margaret Parkinson, piano solo by Michael Brine and a vocal solo by Jolla Webb. A skit, "Learning to Drive” was well received, Others on the program were Lisa and Linda Morrison, step- dancing; songs by Cynthia, Ellen, Dianne Copeland and Pamela Ross; piano solo by David Strahan and a quartette consisting of Doris Spence, Phyllis Ross, Verla Copeland and Helen Cowdry. Lunch was served by the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Dobson gave a definition of the topic and a panel, con- sisting of Mrs. Peter Raymond, Mrs. William Wilson, Mrs, Ron Bogart and Mrs, William Schaeffer, discussed the pros and cons of television viewing. A lively discussion followed among the members, A pledge ritual was held for new member, Mrs. James Henderson. The Ways and Means com- mittee raffled off a macrame belt, which was won by Mrs. Hugh Patterson, and announced that a silent bake sale will be held at the March meeting. It was decided to combine with the other Beta Sigma Phi chapter for a centennial project, Members plan to attend Purple Patches at UWO next week.
