If you have a cough that has been hanging around fora month or more than you have a chronic cough. It doesn't matter that you only cough at certain times; morning, night, etc. If its more than a month, it's chronic. CHRONIC COUGH IS A SYMFT014 A chronic cough is not by itself a disease but rather is a sign of something wrong with your breathing apparatus. A cough medicine may help the cough but it could be masking the underlying illness. It is usually not wise to take cough medicine for more than a week or so unless your doctor tells you to. SOME CAUSES OF CHRONIC COUGH The most likely causes of chronic cough are tuberculosis, lung cancer, bronchitis, bronch- iatasis (pus pockets form along the tubes), em- PhY,sema and other respiratory diseases. TREATMENT MUST START EARLY The instant you realize that you have a chronic cough, see your physician. He can make a num- ber of tests to find out if a respiratory disease is the cause and start the proper treatment early. 11 FIND OUT WHY If you are going through too many bottles of cough medicine or you always seem to have a package of cough drops with you, do something about it. Sure, we sell these products but we would rather you be positive that your cough is something minor. Reverse I of Form Friday night's contest at the Exeter arena was an exact reversal of the game in Lambeth, Wednesday between the same two clubs. This time the Hawks took.a 2 lead after the first twenty minutes of play and although the Flyers tied the score for a few moments in the second period, the Exeter club never fell behind, The first period Hawk scores were fired by Jim Guenther and lion Lindenfield with Larry Haugh assisting in both in- stances. The lone first period Lambeth goal was shot by Al Grondin. After Greg Steels tied the score temporarily early in the second frame, Jim Guenther was back with his second score, this time on a solo effort and Bob Rowe registered with the help of Bob Parsons in less than two minutes to put the Hawks out in front 4 - 2. Before the period was over Perry Stover blinked the light behind the Lambeth net on a play started by his lone-mates Brian Bestard and Pete Kleinstiver, Dennis Toth tallied for Lambeth. In the third period each team was able to score one goal, Ron Lindenfield was the Exeter marksman with assists going to the defence combination of Robert Lindenfield and Jim Guenther, Dave Peterson closed out the Lambeth scoring. Excitement was livened in the late stages of the game when Lambeth was awarded a penalty shot, Jim Guenther allegedly threw his stick at a Lambeth forward with 23 seconds left to play and the free shot was awarded. Goalie John Flay ter rose to the occasion and blocked the shot from the stick of Greg Steels as the Lambeth forward tried to work in close. While the penalty total was low, the Hawks drawing 10 of the 19 infractions called by referees John Slota and Fred Kelso of St. Thomas, the Exeter club scored twice on power plays, Jim Guenther in the second period and Ron Lindenfield in the closing stanza were able to score with a Lambeth opponent sitting in the penalty box. Quick Scores Settle Issue Two goals within seven seconds of each other in the third period allowed the Hawks to post Sun- day's 4 1 win over the Braves in Tavistock. The teams traded single goals in the first period. Pete Glover fired the Exeter marker on an unassisted effort while Bruce. Bender tallied for Tavistock on a shot from behind the net that was helped in by a Hawk defender. The only marker of the second period came on a three way passing effort with Peter Kleinstiver firing the puck home on a play started by Ron Janke and Brian Bestard.
