Centennial and. Hullett Central
School begin weekly journeys to
Seaforth for a two hour class in.
Industrial Arts or Home
Economics.
The Home Economics and
Industrial Arts classrooms are
part of the new addition to the
Seaforth Public School.
During the fall, the home
economics teacher, Mrs. Ila
Mathers and the Industrial arts
teacher, Mr. Keith Snell,
travelled to the Brucefield school
and the Londesboro school to
meet the pupils and conduct
weekly craft sessions with the
senior pupils.
Although the students make
their initial visit to the new
classrooms on Monday, the grade
eight students had some in-
teresting reactions to the visits
from the home economics and
industrial arts teachers.
Paul Robinson - Zurich -
"Industrial Arts is giving me a
subject to look forward to in the
week."
Fred Peckitt - Tuckersmith -
"Industrial Arts is fun. Mr. Snell
teaches it rather nicely."
Terry Heard - Varna- "I think
Industrial Arts is great and worth
the time."
Frances Armstrong - Zurich -
"Home Economics - it's great.
We're very lucky to have it. A lot
of relatives wish they or their
children could have it. It's great
for my bedroom, it's getting
remodelled. I can hardly wait till
we move to the new Home
Economics room."
Norma Garrett - Bayfield - "It
is fun and a very good way to
learn different crafts. We are
very lucky we are able to have
it,"
Judy Voisin - Varna - "Home
Economics is a fun-filled time to
learn how to cook, knit and sew,
You learn how to make more
useful crafts."

Transport for Christ truck
driver, George Thompson of
Kitchener, was in town this week
to distribute a magazine called
Highway Evangelist to truck
drivers in this area and /to talk to
the drivers about the dangers of
mixing 'Bennys' (pep pills) and
alcohol with transport driving.
Having been a pill popper and
an alcoholic for many years Mr.
Thompson feels he speaks with
the authority of one who's been
down the road.
A transport driver of long
standing he says he lost his job
and his wife because of his in-
discriminate use of pills and
alcohol.
He made several attempts to

failed.
Finally, he recounts, when he
was at the end of the line, he went
into a little tabernacle where
Christian friends "prayed
through" his problems with him
and he was released from his
addiction to pep pills and alcohol.
Now, life is coming up roses for
truck driver, George. Back with
his wife, he is once again at the
wheel of the big transports he
loves. Three days a week he
drives for Erb Transport,
Hanover, and the other three
days he covers his territory in his
own van talking to other truck
drivers and distributing the
magazine.
The organization is in-
terdenominational and Mr,
Thompson says, "I never talk
religion to the men unless they
ask me some questions."
His main aim is to get the High-
way Evangelist into the hands of
truckers so they can read the
testimonies of many men who
have made Christianity a part of

brakes build up enough
energy to heat your home —

Statistics show that chances
of accident increase after
dark. When night driving, dim
the lights on the instrument
panel. It will improve your
perception of objects outside
the car.

night? Why not let us give your
car a thorough safety check at
