The program consisted of a tour through South Huron District High School which was arranged by Mrs, Ron Bogart and Mrs. Joe Wooden, and conducted, with commentary, by Ron Bogart. The balance of the meeting was held in the library of the school when plans were discussed regarding Exeter's centennial in 1973. A cheque for $112,00 was contributed to the Arthritic Society. Mrs, Hugh Patterson and MrS. Wm, Schaeffer were ,in charge of, refreshments. By MRS. S. At this service the sacrament of baptism was performed when Robert Paul, son of Mr. & Mrs, Ray Switzer, was baptized. Christmas eve service was held in St, Paul's Anglican Church with a large attendance. Rev. J. C. King of Kirk ton United Church was guest speaker and assisted with the celebration of Holy Communion. The topic based on the story of the shepherds was given by Mrs. Robert Laing. A Christmas reading from the Glad Tidings was given by Mrs, Duncan Scott. During the business period it was decided to give a donation to the Women's Missionary Society in memory of the founder of the Auxiliary Mrs, Marian Ritchie, whose death occurred in Collingwood, December 6. Reports were given by the various secretaries. Mrs. John Miller presented the slate of officers for 1972 as follows: honorary presidents, Mrs, Thomas Scott, Mrs, Calder McKaig; past president, Mrs. Gerald Carey; president, Mrs. Larry Gardiner; vice presidents, Mrs. Beverley Taylor, Mrs. John Templeman, Secretary, Mrs, Frank Hamilton, assistant, Mrs. Carter Kerslake; treasurer, Mrs. Lorne Elliott, assistant, Mrs. Eldon holidays in Florida, returning home Friday.
