Xi Gamma Nu chapter of Beta
Sigma Phi held their first
meeting of the year Tuesday
night. The program consisted of a
tour through South Huron
District High School which was
arranged by Mrs, Ron Bogart
and Mrs. Joe Wooden, and
conducted, with commentary, by
Ron Bogart.
The balance of the meeting was
held in the library of the school
when plans were discussed
regarding Exeter's centennial in
1973.
A cheque for $112,00 was
contributed to the Arthritic
Society.

December 26 Christmas ser-
vice was held in Kirkton United
Church with Rev. J. C. King
using as his theme "A Day of
Good Tidings". At this service
the sacrament of baptism was
performed when Robert Paul,
son of Mr. & Mrs, Ray Switzer,
was baptized.
Christmas eve service was held
in St, Paul's Anglican Church
with a large attendance. Rev. J.
C. King of Kirk ton United Church
was guest speaker and assisted
with the celebration of Holy
Communion.

The annual T meeting of the-
Marian 'Ritchie Evening
Auxiliary of Cromarty Church
was held at the home of ,Mrs.
Frank Hamilton and was opened
with a reading by Mrs. Gerald
Carey. The topic based on the
story of the shepherds was given
by Mrs. Robert Laing. A
Christmas reading from the Glad
Tidings was given by Mrs,
Duncan Scott.
During the business period it
was decided to give a donation to
the Women's Missionary Society
in memory of the founder of the
Auxiliary Mrs, Marian Ritchie,
whose death occurred in
Collingwood, December 6.
Reports were given by the
various secretaries.
Mrs. John Miller presented the
slate of officers for 1972 as
follows: honorary presidents,
Mrs, Thomas Scott, Mrs, Calder
McKaig; past president, Mrs.
Gerald Carey; president, Mrs.
