The sacrament of baptism was
performed Sunday morning
during the church service when
Darlene Victoria, infant daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Don Atkinson was
baptized.

members visited Westminster
Hospital in London recently,
where they distributed gifts and
played Bingo, Those attending
from Hensall were Mrs. Ernie
Davis, Mrs. Gordon Munn, Mrs.
Mary Taylor, and Mrs, Clarence
Reid.

Club of Hensall visited and ex-
tended Christmas greetings at
Queensway Nursing Home,
Clinton Nursing Home,

A fun and games night. was held
in Hensall United Church,
Saturday, with members of the
congregation taking part. It was
decided to plan a bowling party
for January, It is hoped that
more people from the
congregation will attend this
event.

Service inCarmel Presbyterian
church was conducted by Rev. W.
Jarvis with the explorers and
leaders assisting with the ser-
vice. Linda Bell presided at the

December 6. President Mrs. B.
A. Orr opened the meeting with a
poem called "A Time to
Celebrate."
A Christmas devotional wor-
ship taken from the Glad Tidings,
called "Hark the Glad Sound,"
was given by Mrs. Jack Soldan,
Mrs. Malcolm Dougall, and Mrs.
Gordon Schwalm. A duet was
sung by Mrs, Harold Bell and
Mrs. Dougall accompanied by
Mrs. Munn at the piano.
The 1972 study packet will be
presented to Mrs. Al Hoggarth,
who is the Explorer Counsellor of
the Church,
President Mrs., Orr welcomed
24 members and guests, and
introduced the guest speaker,
Mrs. Margaret Thorndike, of
Clinton, who showed slides and
organ during the explorers
participation. Communion will be
held Sunday and the following
Sunday there will be special
Christmas music by the choir
under the direction of Mrs.
Malcolm Dougall.
