Ailsa Craig's lead in first place
on the Ausable Valley Rec hockey
league has lengthened,
The Craig club downed Lieury
9-6 to up their season total to
seven points. Shipka dropped into
a tie for second spot with Brinsley
at four points apiece.Lieury trails
in the basement with a single
point.
In Sunday's other action,
Shipka dropped a 7-0 decision to
Brinsley after leading 5-2 at one
point in the game.
George Tryon was the top
scorer for Brinsley with a three
goal performance. Checking in
with two goals apiece were Bob
Hodgins and Greg Revington.
Barry Clarke was the only goal
scorer for Shipka. Single coun-
ters were fired by Brian If odgins,
Ron Mason, Larry Mason and
Ron Clarke,
Gwyn Griffiths was the most
proficient Ailsa Craig marksmen
with a hat trick to his credit. Bob
Donaldson triggered two suc-
cessful shots with single goals
being credited to Charlie Eedy,
Jim Shipway, Don McAlpine and
Joe Regier.
Heading the Lieury scoring
with two goals was Marty
Steeper. Single goals were fired
by Harry Martens, Wayne Ropp,
Stan Harwood and Paul Glavin.

In Aylmer Tuesday night, the
Jets spotted the Blues an early
first period goal and then went on
to post an 8.1 decision on five big
goals in the third period.
Bill White sunk the Aylmer ship
all by himself, scoring once in
each of the first two periods and
coming back with two additional
goals in the final session for a
four goal performance.
Walt Parkinson registered two
goals and Steve Proctor and Dick
Doughty were successful with
one shot each.
John Griffith was the Aylmer
goal getter beating Don Stewart
in the first period. Stewart and
Lorne Daer shared goal tending
duties for the Jets.
The Jets are now idle until
December 10 when they travel to
Simcoe for another exhibition
contest.

session, the Jets scored six more

blasting a high shot past the

Bill Neil and Cousineau was
successful again with help from
Robb and Terry Bourne.
The final two goals of the
middle stanza, both came on
unassisted efforts. Barry
Baynham hit with another slap
shot and Bill White scored as he
drew the goalie with another slap

Early in the third period, Keith
Doyle and Len Farquhar scored
for the Blues to spoil Don
Stewart's bid for a shut-out.
Steve Proctor, Ron Cauduro
and Bill White shot the Jet goals
in the closing twenty minutes of
play. Steve Storey picked up a
pair of assists while Bill Neil, Bill
Bourne and Terry Bourne each
helped out on one occasion.

The Lucan-Ilderton Jets seem
to be running out of good com-
petition as they continue an
exhibition schedule in
preparation for the Ontario,
Hockey Association Intermediate
"13" playoffs,
in a pair of games during the
week with the Aylmer Blues, also
of OHA Intermediate "B"
calibre, the Jets ran up two
victories,
At the Huron Park arena,
Friday night the Jets recorded an
easyl3-2 win and back on Aylmer
ice Tuesday night it was the Jets
winning by a score of 8.1 with
several top players missing from
the line-up.
Robb scores three
The high-flying Jamie Robb
was the Jets top scorer in the first
win over Aylmer by a score of 13-
2 with a hat trick performance.
Robb opened the scoring at 9.30
of the first period, putting the
puck in the net on a breakaway,
Exeter native Barry Baynham
upped the score to 2-0 less than
two minutes later when he
blasted in a slap shot on an
unassisted dash up the ice.
Before the first period was
over, Robb was back on the score
sheet completing a three-way
combination with Terry Bourne
and Baynham.

In novice houseleague the
Vancouver club shut out New
York by a score of 2 to 0. Van-
couver goalie Steve Wells was
reallyhotinthis game as he came
up with many key saves. Danny
Bell and David Atthil] scored the
goals for the Canucks. The four
penalties in the game all went to
New York.
The other game saw the
powerful Boston team easily
defeating Montreal by a score of
10 to 1. Brian Mercer was the only
player able to score on John
Wildfong in the nets for Boston.
For Boston, Dave Bogart scored
the "hat trick", Dave Cann and
Wayne Parsons scored two each.
The other goals all singles were
by Jeff Newby, Greg Skinner and
Pete Montgomery.
In an attempt to even the
teams, John Wildfong was traded
to Montreal in exchange for Ed
Hunter-Duvar,
Pee Wee houseleague had low
scores and close games, The
winless Baraccudas continued on
the losing trail as they dropped a
4 to 1 decision to the Mustangs.
For the Mustangs, Brian Hornell
scored a pair vThile singles went
to Ted Triebner and David
Holtzman, Randy Fisher scored
the only Baraccuda goal.
Black Hawks defeated the
Bruin's in the second game 5 to 3
to take over first place in the
league standings, Peri'y and Paul
Pooley scored a pair of goals
each while Fred Robinson scored
a single for the Hawks.
Bruin goals were scored by
Randy Parsons with two and
Paul Gaiser with the other.
A trade was made between the
Hawks and Baraccudas with
Perry Pooley going to the
Baraccudas in exchange for
Danny Mittelholtz.
It is hoped all players will take
the trades with a smile as the
coaches and managers are only
trying to keep the teams even and
make the games more enjoyable
for all players,

Dashwood 5 - CCAT I
The Dashwood Bears broke
loose with three goals in the third
period to ensure a 5-1 win over
the Centralia College Saints at
the Huron Park arena, Thursday
night.
Defenceman Bob Morrissey
topped the scoring parade for the
Dashwood club with a two goal
performances Jim Hoffman, Joe
Regier and Gerry McCann
completed the scoring for the
winners with single goals. John
Becker picked up two assists.
The lone Centralia goal was
fired by Dwight Hargreaves on a
three-way passing with Bob
Comley and Scott McLaren.
Zurich 10 - CCAT 2
The Zurich Flyers had little
trouble in disposing of the Cen-
tralia College Saints by a score of
10-2 in South Huron Inter-
mediate hockey play at Zurich,
Tuesday.
Six Flyers goals with only one
reply from the Saints in the first
period left little doubt as to the
final outcome,
Ron Desjardine and Jim
Ramer each scored two goals to
lead the Zurich scoring attack.
Checking in with single scores
were Gerald Schantz, Paul
Corriveau, Bob Merner, Glen
Overholt, Bob Johnson and Kevin
McKinnon.
Scoring in single fashion for
Centralia College were Stuart
Hindle and Bob Bowman,
