Canvassers Mrs. Walter Fydenchuk, Ella Morlock, Mary Ellen Schlenker, Mrs. Alvin Finkbeiner, Mrs. Douglas Warren, Mrs. Ervin Ratz and Mrs. Cliff Russell were under the chairmanship of Rev. Armin Schlenker who also assisted in the canvass. Men's Day Sunday was Men's Day at Zion United Church. A men's choir under the direction of Rev. Douglas Warren sang two numbers. Walter Fydenchuk presented the children's story, William Schwartz read the scripture and Ed Hendrick led in prayer. Chairman was Steve Dundas who also introduced the guest speaker, Charles Hay of Hensall. His topic was "In the Interest of Others." Cub group committee There are 18 cubs in the Crediton Pack, Mrs. Betty Johnson, 'Huron Park is their leader with Mrs. Sharon Goden, Huron Park as assistant. Since Mrs. Johnson has been appointed District Cub Master, a new leader is being sought. A group committee was formed to assist in the work of cubbing. Mrs. Norman Eveland is secretary, Mrs. Wilmar Wein treasurer. Ron Bushell, District Com- missioner from Goderich was present at the meeting of the committee last Monday evening. Cemetery committee The cemetery committee has completed renovating the chapel. The interior was painted, carpet laid and drapes provided for the windows. Personals Mrs. Lloyd England secured "reserve winner" for her dog in the Kitchener show last weekend. See how to make candles Candle making was the hilight of the Crediton WI's November meeting. Mrs. Pat Down and Mrs. Marlene Rundle very capably showed all present how to make different kinds of candles and six members made ice cube candles. A display was set up and an explanation was given of how each item was made and decorated, Mrs. Charles Browning chaired the program. A skit by Mrs. C. Browning and Mrs. R. Bushfield was enjoyed and Mrs. I. Fink- beiner read the history of John McCrea, author of "In Flanders Field". The motto, "Let us resolve to use our talents for the good of ourselves, our Institute and our community", was given by Mrs. R. Bushfield. Final plans were made for the birthday party at Huronview, Wednesday and for the Senior Citizens' banquet in December.
