Thursday- evening the UCW
met in Zion United Church for
their November meeting. Mrs.
Cliff Brock was in charge of the
program the theme of which was
Peace.
Roll Call was answered by
quoting a verse of Scripture
containing the word peace.
Readings were given by Mrs.
Brock on Peace in Rest; by Mrs.
Alvin Baker on Peace in the
Home; by Mrs. Robert Bushfield
on Peace Amid Change, and by
Mrs. Charles Browning on World
Peace.
Mrs. Walter Weber, Miss Doris
Schwartz, Mrs. Lorne Preszcator
and Mrs. Browning sang selec-
tions and were accompanied by
Mrs. Gordon Finkbeiner,
Mrs, Ed Finkbeiner, president,
took charge of the business.
Donations were voted to the
Huronview Auxiliary and to Five
Oaks Conference Centre. Mrs.
Finkbeiner reported the morning
session of the Presbyterial held
at Exeter United in October, and
Mrs. Russell Finkbeiner the
afternoon. The President also
reported the regional meeting
held at Atwood.
Hostesses were Miss Nola
Faist, Mrs, Nelson Lamport,
Mrs. Ross Pickering, Mrs. Lorne
Hodge and Mrs. Ward Fritz.

Bay area.

and Mary were in Elmwood
Saturday and Sunday. Rev,
Schlenker conducted the service

on behalf of the Canadian Bible
Society in Zion United Church
Sunday afternoon. The meeting
was in preparation for the can-
vass being conducted in the
Crediton and Shipka areas this
