Last Wednesday the Cubs held
their Halloween party. Prizes for

Newlyweds Mr. & Mrs. Mel
Lamport were honored by a
dinner and presentation at the
Colonial Hotel, Grand Bend,
Sunday. Friends who had worked
with Mrs. Lamport (Clara
Geiser) while she was employed
at the local store presented them
with a set of luggage. Present
were Mr. & Mrs. Robert Bush-
field, Mr. & Mrs. Art Attfield, Mr.
& Mrs. Lorne Hodge, Mr, & Mrs.
Wilfred Mack and Roy Fink-
beiner. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd
Roeszler were unable to attend.

MRS. THEODORE C. HABERER
Mrs. Theodore Haberer, the
former Alma Kalbfleisch, passed
away at the residence of her
daughter in London, October 23,
1971, in her 78th year. She was
predeceased by her husband.
Surviving are her two
daughters, Mrs. John (Florence)
Wettlaufer and Mrs. Don
(Pauline) Britnell, both of
London and five grandchildren.
She was also the sister of R.J.
Kalbfleisch, Detroit, Rev. Lloyd
Kalbfleisch and Ivan Kalbfleisch,
Zurich, Mrs. Ed Da tars and Mrs.
J. W. Haberer, also of Zurich.
The funeral was arranged by
the Westlake Funeral Home and
was held in St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Zurich, with interment in
the Lutheran Cemetery.

WALTER HENRY HARNESS
Walter Harness died at his late
residence, London, October 20,
1971, in his 73rd year. He was the
husband of the late Winifred
(Jacobs) Harness.
He is survived by his daughter,
Mrs. Frank (Betty) Smith of
Clarkson; one brother, Czar
Harness of Florida; three sisters,
Mrs. Phylis Baynham of Strat-
ford, Mrs. May Brogan of Wind-
sor, Mrs. Margaret Hunter both
of Windsor and three grand-
children.
Funeral services were frOin the
Evans Funeral Home, October
23, with interment in Woodland
Cemetery with Rev, Norman
Bullock of Egerton St. Baptist
Church officiating,
NORMAN CHESTER HERN
Norman C. Hern of Norwich
passed away in his 90th year at
Woodstock General Hospital,
October 20, 1971.
He was the stepfather of Mr. 0.
J. Silverthorn, Toronto, and
brother-in-law of Mrs. Ella Hern,
Exeter. Several neices and
nephews also survive.
The funeral was held at the Arn
& Son Funeral Residence,
Norwich, October 23 with burial
in Norwich Cemetery.
CYRIL CHARLES TUCKEY
After a lengthy illness, Cyril
Charles Tuckey, London, passed
away at the age of 75,
He was the husband of the
former Dolly Archer and father
of Eric and Jack of London, and
Mrs. John (Nancy) Walters,
Parkhill.
Also surviving are ten grand-
children, three sisters, Mrs. T.
Elliot, Mrs. C. Davis, Mrs. L.
Refuse, and four brothers,
Elmore of London, Benson,
Bruce and Oscar of Exeter.
The funeral was conducted
from the Needham Memorial
Chapel, London, October 23, with
Rev. Anne P. Graham D,D. of
Metropolitan United Church
officiating. Interment was in
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
