HAWKS FIRST PRACTICE — The 1971-72 edition of the Exeter
junior Hawks lilt the ice for the first time at the Huron Park arena,

the closing moments of the
contest.
Loveless notched his second

33-26 but Lorne Daer, Keith
Scarborough and Harry Taylor
combined to provide the victory.

Rev. Insley talked to the ladies
on "Woman's roll in our Society
dealing with Woman as a part-
ner" "the liberated woman" and
the "Consumer woman.". He left
the ladies with mach food for
thought. The Anglican ladies
served lunch. All those who at-
tended hoped this ecumenical
movement among our church
,ladies would continue.

and area gathered together in the
Legion Hall Wednesday af-
ternoon for their October
meeting. The entertainment
began with euchre and crokinole.
Mrs. Wm. Love played a
violin solo followed by a sing song
of old time favorites. Mrs Mae
Holt amused the group singing a
song about an experience with a
burglar also Mrs. Reeves
followed with a humorous story.
A brief business period and a
short discussion on whether or
not a shuffle board game could be
arranged was conducted by Mr.
Love, president. Lunch was
served which brought the get
together to a close.
SPECIAL SERVICES
Thanksgiving services were
well attended at Grand Bend
United Church, The Sunday
school meeting at the same hour
has improved the attendance at
Church. Mrs, Garry Brenner was
guest soloist. Timothy Bullock,
infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Bullock was baptized during the
morning worship, The Church
was beautifully decorated for the
thanksgiving occasion,
