Hawks practice
With the first scheduled
Ontario Hockey Association
Junior 'D' game less than three • weeks away, the Exeter Hawks
hit the ice this week-end for their
first official practices,
Manager Bob Baynham has
called the first practice for the
Huron Park arena, this Saturday
morning at 11 a.m. Coach Bob
White will be on hand to put
prospective players through a
two-hour session.
Further workouts at the same
arena will be Monday night from

Late Niters
lead darts
After two weeks of competition,
the Late Niters continue to lead in
the Exeter Legion mixed dart
league.
The Late Niters have amassed
a total of eight points with the
Itchy Four second with seven
points. Four teams, the Doublers,
Featherflights, Canners and B &
J's are tied for third place.
Jerry Edginton scored a 140 to
lead the men's high score
department, the same score as
the ladies' leader, Anita Hunter.
Last week's Scores were:

is winning golfer
The semi-annual golf tour-
nament for elementary and
secondary school teachers in
Huron and Perth counties was
held at the Mitchell golf course,
Saturday.
Doug Ellison of South Huron
District High School was the
winner in the secondary division
with a score of 79 while Ken
Willmore of South Perth won the
elementary section with an
identical score.
The Stratford area won the
team championship. John
McCarrol, physical education
consultant for the Huron-Perth
separate school board organized
the event.

night,. the schedule was com-
pleted for the Ontario Hockey
Association Junior "D" Western
grouping involving several
district teams.
The same seven clubs will be in
action again this year. They will
