designed to satisfy the wants of all ages.
For the third consecutive year, the Fair will
be held on Friday and Saturday taking advantage
of the opportunity of obtaining the services of top
notch bands on the weekend.
The Exeter Legion band will be on hand to
lead the parade down Main Street. A large number
of floats are expected to join this year's march that
is scheduled for a new time, 10:30 a.m.
Things get underway Friday night when
Exeter Mayor Jack Delbridge will handle the
honors of officially opening the fair along with fair
president Donald Dearing.
The opening by the mayor will be followed
by the always popular baby show. Secretary
Garnet Hicks reported early this week that three of
the four sections of the baby show had been
completely filled and he was forced to turn away
entries.
The only class that babies may still be entered
is in the twins section. Any mother of twins
wishing to enter the baby show should contact Mr.
Hicks at 235-2438.
The alWays popular beauty contest will also
be held Friday night in the arena following the
baby contest. This event is being held for the fifth
time in conjunction with the fair and has been a
tremendous success right from the outset.
The beauty contest has also drawn a lot of
interest this year and Carf Cann reported Tuesday
that he had a full slate of ten contestants.
The winner will receive a Bulova watch
donated by Exeter jeweller Earl Campbell. Each
contestant will receive a prize regardless of the
results of the judging.

night is the Fair's baking champion. The judges
usually have a difficult chore in selecting a winner
after sampling most of the delicious entries.

entertained by top notch performers from the
immediate area.
Performing during the baby show and beauty
