DASHWOOD Mr. and Mrs. Ross Guenther have returned home following a 24.-day trip to Ireland, England and Scotland. Their travelling companions were Mr. and Mrs, Harvey Pfaff, Exeter. They travelled 3,000 miles with very little trouble. However the Guenthers who travelled alone to Ireland discovered a missing link in the Eagleson family tree when they had car trouble. They enjoyed Ireland and. stated they were going back next year, They attended church service at Glynn where Rev, and Mrs, George Anderson of Exeter spent July and Mr. Anderson supplied for the vacationing minister. They walked on the Roman Wall between England and Scotland. They also- met Cal Heywood who went to England several years ago and established a car hire (taxi). PERSONALS Cathryn Wolfe, niece of Carl Oestricher, and her singing group, Gap Society (Gospel Activity Proclaimed), will present the service next Sunday in Calvary United Church in singing and dialogue. Allen Scott, infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Glen Rader was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church, August 15, by Bruce Bjorquist. Mr. and Mrs, Kenneth Rader were sponsors. Mr. 8; Mrs. Vernon Schatz and Mrs. Gordon Calfas, Sarnia, motored to Pittsburg, Va. last week going by way of Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland and Youngstown, visiting their brother and his family, Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Fl,, Schatz at Beaver Falls. They returned by way of Buffalo and Niagara Falls, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Cudmore, -Willowdale, vacationed with Mr. Mrs. Albert Hader last week, Rev, & Mrs, Bruce Seehach and family, Hamilton, vacationed with Mrs. Cora Gaiaer, Mr. & Mrs. Seigfried Miller and family, Port Dover, spent Saturday with Mrs, Martha Miller. Visitors during the weekend with Mr. & Mrs, Louis Restemayer were Mr. & Mrs. Poelher, Fort Wayne, Ind,, Mrs. Mabel Parks and daughter, Hensel', Mr. & Mrs. Allan Chrysler and Peter, Goderich, and Mrs. Herbert Miller, Judy and Joanne. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Maine and Marilyn, Kitchener, spent Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Reinhold Miller. Mrs. Adella Fisher is a patient in South Huron Hospital; Michael Fleet is also hospitalized in the same hospital having suffered a severe arm cut at work. Rev, & Mrs, Ernest Miller, Gladwin, Mich., visited with Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Miller and other relatives. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Chandler and Mark, Mr. & Mrs. George Tieman and Gary vacationed at Berford Lake, last week, Mr, & Mrs. Geo, Bullock were pleased to have Bob Paisley, Freeport, Grand Bahamas visit with them for a few days. His parents, Mr, & Mrs. Jim Paisley, Wallaceburg and Mr. & Mrs. Eldon Bullock of Peterborough also visited. Mr. & Mrs. Glen Guenther, Debra and Jeff of Gary, Indiana spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Syd Baker. Wendy Webb, Goderich is spending a week with Mr. & Mrs. Baker. Mr. & Mrs. Jack Huffman, Port Colborne, and Mr. & Mrs. Jack Guenther, Oakville, were weekend guests with Mr. & Mrs. Milton Webb. John Ziler and Stan Hansford are on a month tour of Europe. Members of Mrs. George Lawson's family gathered Sunday to celebrate her 89th birthday with a picnic meal. Those present were Mr. & Mrs. Don McCann and family, Wat- ford; Mrs. Doug. Fulton and boys of Stratford; Sue Deeks of London; Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Lawson, Peter and John and Mr. & Mrs. Garnet Hicks of town. By MRS. J. Nancy and David remaining for holidays. The Scott boys entertained a number of friends Thursday, celebrating Bob's 10th birthday. and Pamela Wallace as campers. Bonnie Miller, Hamilton, and Jo Ann Gulliver, Toronto spent the weekend with Bonnie's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Miller and Paul. Mike Finlayson had the misfortune to sprain his ankle this past, week and is walking with the aid of crutches. Edna and Janet Miller, Lon- don, visited on the weekend with their parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leslie Miller. Mr. & Mrs. John Burleigh and family, Goderich, visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Bob Norris. Wanda Martyn, Russeldale, spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Templeman. Mr. & Mrs. Eric Norris and Sean, MacDonald College, Quebec visited this week with Mrs. Sam Norris and Mr. & Mrs. Bob Norris. Visiting Saturday with Mr. & Auxiliary meets at Huronview The Huronview Auxiliary meeting was held at Huronview in the craft room of the Home when a number of the ladies helped with quilting. At the next meeting all members are asked to help with the quilt which is to be sold to make money for the Auxiliary. Mrs. Colclough read a paper on textile products, some are in- flammable and easily catch on fire. She said if your clothing ever does catch on fire do not run as this fans the flames. Clinton ladies were in charge of the program. Mrs. Nevin played several selections on the mouth organ and a reading was given by Mrs. Gibson, commercials on TV and the English language going to pot. The Hibbert community young people enjoyed a bus trip to the Science Center and Ontario Place, Sunday with Mr. & Mrs, George Vivian, chaperoning.
