Latest car thief trick: calling a new car owner to warn of a non-existent safety defect and coming to pick up the vehicle for "necessary" repairs, A well kept car can sell for up to $400 more than a neglected one, same model, same year. * Use of hotter spark plugs (designed for 1971 models) on other vintages could spell engine trouble. A bad battery connection will prevent your car from getting the full flow of current it needs to start.
