Arthur Smith, son of Mrs. Alice
Smith, Salford, England, were
married at a pretty summer
ceremony, July 17, 1971.
Rev. Harold Snell, London,
officiated at the marriage in
Exeter United. Church which was
• decorated for the occasion with
white candles, gladioli and
mums, Robert Cameron was the
organist and accompanied the
soloist, Brenda Dinney.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was charming in a
simple styled dress of white
embroidered eyelet. Her bouquet
was of mixed white flowers,
Her attendants were maid of
honor, Linda Thorndyke, Port
Hope, and bridesmaids Mrs.
Donald Gordon, Ottawa, and
Mrs. Bruce Lee, Toronto. They
• wore red paisley peasant dresses
with gold picture hats and
carried wicker baskets of
assorted summer flowers.
Lawrence Snaith, Ottawa,
acted as best man while David
Williams, also of Ottawa, and
Doug Beavers, Goderich,
ushered the guests,
After the reception at the
Exeter Curling Club the
newlyweds left for a wedding trip
to northern Ontario, the bride
wearing a smart navy blue
pa n tdress with silver a c-
• cessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith now reside
at Apt. 305, 2240 Halifax Drive,
Ottawa.
Mr. Smith is with the Federal
Government in the Department
of Supply and Services and his
wife is employed at Carleton
• University.

The bride donned a mauve pant
suit with yellow accessories to
travel. to Niagara Falls and the
eastern United States.
The young couple are residing
in Exeter,
Bonnie Jean, daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. Harold Schwartzentruber,
and William Charles McNutt, son
of Mr. and Mrs. M. McNutt,
Amherst, Nova Scotia, Pastor
Austin Gedcke officiated at the
ceremony which took place July
31, 1971,
Mrs. Norman Tait provided the
wedding music and accompanied
the soloist Doreen Browning of
Huron Park.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a white
daisy lace over taffeta gown with
puff sleeves and jewel neckline,
Pink trim was featured on the
dress front with a bow at the
waist. A long veil was held by a
scalloped headpiece of roses. She
carried a bouquet of pink and
white carnations.
Mrs. Dianne Lightfoot was
matron of honor while Grace Sch-
wartzentruber and Irene
Eagleson were bridesmaids.
They wore blue gowns, picture
hats with matching blue velvet
bows and carried white daisies
and baby's breath with white
streamers,
Flower girl,Heather Browning
wore a gown trimmed with
white daisies and carried a
basket of mixed flowers, She
wore flowers in her hair.
The ring bearer was Calvin
Stanlake, RR 1 Exeter.
Gordon McNutt was best man
for his brother and Paul Sch-
wartzentruber and Bob Moore
were ushers.
Dalton Finkbeiner was master
of ceremonies at the reception

summer flowers.

Ken Glavin and Bob Nethercott
were ushers.
The couple travelled north for a
honeymoon after a reception held
at the Dashwood Community
Centre, the bride wearing an
ensemble of mauve and white
polyester with white accessories,
The couple are now residing at
RR 3 Ailsa Craig.
Montreal, the bride wore a white
French embroidered boucle coat
and dress ensemble with red
accessories.
Guests were present from
Toronto, Collingwood, Atter
Lake, Michigan, Exeter, Kirkton,
Centralia, Lucan, London and
Winnipeg,
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll will

Dunlop United Church, Sarnia,
was the site of the recent ex-
change of wedding vows between
Cheryl Madelyn Dyer and Wayne
Clifford Carroll with Rev. Lloyd
Stapleton, assisted by Rev.
Rokeby-,Thomas, Saintsbury
parish, performing the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ford Dyer, Sarnia, and
the groom is the son of Mr, and
Mrs. Harry Carroll, RR 1 Cen-
tralia.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore an empire
styled gown of shantung and
French lace. The lace trimmed
the bell sleeves and bodice which
featured a scooped neckline. Her
chapel train flowed from the
waist and a floral headpiece held
a shoulder length bouffant veil.
She carried a family Bible.
Mrs. Audrey Taylor, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor
while Doloris Kechnie and Lynda
Angiers were bridesmaids,
Ralph Simpson was best man,
and Cameron Davis, Robert
llodgins and Ron Carroll, brother
of the groom, were ushers.
