Well, Comrades, our wan,
during Newfje has returned from
his safari through the north
country and from his report the
hospitality remains the same as I
reported, For a change of pace,
comrades, why not try a lazy
relaxing holiday in my old
bivouac. Nice to have you and
Shirley back, Carl, $o happy you
liked the north country and that
you had a good holiday.
While in the north, did you find
out if there is going to be a good
crop of blueberries — sure like to
know, ours are almost all gone.
Iii folks, are you gettin' that
Centennial feeling yet? Sure hope
so. Time's awastin', the last week
in August will soon be here and
with it Lucan's centennial
celebrations. What better way to
celebrate than with a family
reunion.
How about it, Lucanites, gather
your family around. Enjoy them
while they enjoy our Birthday.
Haven't heard from the young
folk yet about "Pollution
Probe". We have the plastic
bags, how about it? Let's get
together and clean up our town.
Attention — All `Bathroom
Baritones" — the combined
Centennial choir is looking for
you! Yes, folks, they even have a
Centennial Song for you to sing.
How about joining up — it's only
for one nite a week, Monday,
from 9-10 p.m. The purpose of the
choir is to supply the singing at
the combined Church Service to
be held in the Lucan Arena,
Sunday, August 29, 1971.
My comrades, this will be my
last column until I return from
holidays, Have a happy summer.
See you in the fall, and that's 30
for this week.
Remember — What good is a
sure aim if an impossible target
is selected.
