Custom scoredin the first when
Ray Mills scored without the aid
of a hit. In the fifth, Bob
McDonald singled and scored the
tenth Custom marker of the
game.
Chuck Dalryrnple bashed a
triple in the sixth and Tom
Dalrymple, Rick McDonald and
Doug Dalrymple added con-
secutive singles to produce three
more Custom runs in the sixth.
In the seventh, Bryan Hogg
singled and scored on a similar
hit from the bat of Tom
Dalrymple,
Dashwood Industries started
the game off like a house of fire
with seven runs in their first trip
to the plate,
It was a combination of walks
and errors along with a triple
delivered by Bob Parsons and a
single from Gerry Riehl that
produced the opening DIL rally.
Riehl scored a lone run for
Dashwood in the second frame
and singles by Brian Hosker and
Dale Skinner along with Parsons
triple sent four more runners
home safely in the fourth,'
Bryan Hogg and Bill Brock
shared pitching duties for
Custom with Hogg getting the win
while Dale Skinner was the loser
for DIL.

Track, field clinic
is a real success
As a result 9f the two-day track
and field clinic held at South
Huron District High School this
week, a total of 25 district
youngsters will be attending a
meet Saturday at Seagram
Stadium in Waterloo.
Doug Ellison, co-ordinator for
the clinic here said the in-
struction staff headed by Keith
Johnston were pleased with the
turn-out of approximately 60
students each evening,
The clinic was one of many held
throughout Ontario and was
sponsored by the R.E. Pooley
Exeter branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion.

Hawks score three times to tie
the count and set the stage for the
seventh inning rally.
Bill Bourne walked, Bill
Fairbairn walked, Bruneau was
on an error and all scored as Ron
Grasdahl singled.
Brian Hodgins was the winning
pitcher for the Hawks while Jim
Johnston took the loss.
Hawks 4 Hensall 3
Bill Bourne's home run with
Barry Baynham on the base
paths in the third inning proved to
be the difference as the Hawks
edged Hensall 4-3.
In the second Bill Farquhar
singled and scored on a similar
hit by Bourne for the first Hawks
score. It was singles by Pete
Lawson and Scott Burton that
produced the second run for the
winners in the second frame.
The first two Hensall runs
came in the second inning when
Bruce Horton and Murray Bell
singled and Gary Kyle followed
with a bases clearing triple.
The third run scored in the fifth
when Rick Schilbe doubled and
scored on Bob Lavery's ground-
out.
Scott Burton gained the pit-
ching win for the Hawks while D.
Riley suffered the loss for
Hensall.
Dufferin II Hawks 10
Bob Pinter's single sent
Farquhar in with what proved to
be the winning run in the sixth to
give the Dufferin a 11-10 decision
over the Hawks.
The Dufferin club jumped
ahead with three runs in the first
inning as Bob Nadon and Don
Appleby singled and rode home
on Don Farquhar's home run.
The winners scored four runs in
the fourth with the help of only
one hit, that from the bat of Bob
Hodgins. Pinter, Boudreau and
Conrad scored in the fifth without
the aid of a hit.
The Hawks scored twice in
their half of the first with Scott
Burton's single being the only hit.
They scored five times in the
third with Burton's single and
Ron Janke's homer doing most of
the damage,
Bill Bourne and Greg
Revington scored for the Hawks
in the fifth and Ron Grasdahl
counted the final Hawk run in the
sixth.
Hawks 6 Kin 4
The junior Hawks scored
twice with two out in the top of the
seventh to gain Thursday's 6-4
win over the Kinsmen.
With one out in the seventh
Barry Baynham and Bill
Farquhar singled and Bill Bourne
walked to fill the bases.
The next batter was retired but
Baynham and Farquhar scored
what proved to be the winning
runs on a wild throw.
The Kinsmen opened the game
scoring with three runs in the
first inning. Jack Glover singled,
Craig Davidson tripled and
pitcher Jim Johnston punched a
single to score two runs. Johnston
moved up on a walk to Bob
Lammie and scored on Gary

The Exeter midgets dropped
their second decision of the year
in WOAA play to Zurich by a
score of 7-6, Sunday afternoon.
Saturday night, also on their
home diamond, the locals out-
scored Goderich 7-2.
The Goderich club will be back
in Exeter Saturday night at 8:30
for another regularly scheduled
game.
Paul McKnight was the Exeter
star in the win over Goderich. He
gave up only three hits and struck
out the maximum number of
batters, 15 in five innings of.work.
Perry Stover tossed the last two
innings.
Randy Preszcator and Randy
Tiernan had two hits apiece for
Exeter. Perry Stover singled in
the opening inning to score Joe
Darling and Paul McKnight with
the first Exeter runs.
Come from behind
Zurich scored two runs with
two men out in the seventh inning
to gain the 7-6 Sunday victory,
Nick Grenier's double and an
error chased the winning runs
across the plate for Zurich.
Jim Momnaersteeg gained the
pitching win for Zurich while
Perry Stover suffered his firstloss
of the season.
Randy Tieman's triple in the
first inning scored the first two
Exeter runs while Brian
Tuckey's single in the fourth
scored another pair of Exeter
markers.

Crediton midgets
lose only start
The Creditor) midgets dropped
an 11-8 decision to Goderich in the
lakeport town Sunday afternoon
in their only VVOAA start of the
week,
Goderich scored three times in
the first inning and came up with
four more scores in each of the
second and third innings to
complete their game scoring, ,
The Crediton club kept pecking
away scoring at least one run in
almost every inning and had a
good threat going in the seventh
when the game ended.
Singles by Larry and Garry
Gibson produced the first
Crediton run in the first inning.
Larry Gibson's double sent Kevin
Ma tSchke and Allan Parsons
home in the second and Bob
Heywood's single allowed Rick
Bewers to score in the third.
