The girls, under the direction of teachers, Miss Judy DeWolfe and Mrs. Karen Farion, were introduced to courses offered at the college, Several of them will be back for the fall semester. One of the sessions was on Textiles, and shown above with Mrs. Farion (center) are Nancy Jean Fanson and Cathy Vink, both from Perth County, with samples of tie-dyeing. These frothing bubbling coolers will produce instant hospitality. MOCHA-COLA 1 pint soft coffee ice cream 1 cup cold milk 3 heaping teaspoons chocolate- flavoured instant drinking powder I bottle (10 oz.) chilled cola beverage In an electric blender + combine ice cream, milk and chocolate-flavoured instant drinking powder Cover and blend at high speed for 1 minute or until mixture is thick and smooth. Pour into a pitcher; stir in chilled cola beverage. Serve at once, Makes about 1 quart. +Note; An electric mixer could also be used. BANANA SCOTCH-ER-00S (Makes 2 Servings) 1 cup milk 1/2 medium ripe banana, peeled and quartered 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream 2 tablespoons butterscotch sundae sauce Combine all ingredients in the blender jar. Blend at high speed Pym family attend church The Pyrn family's 39th annual reunion began a little differently this year with attendance at the church service at Elimville United Church. Ancestors of the family settled in Elimville in 1857. Rev. Heber Dickinson D.D. of Woodstock conducted the service and preached the ser- mon. About forty members attended church and were joined later by 20 more for dinner and an af- ternoon of sports at Riverview Park in Exeter. The slate of officers for the coming year was appointed as follows: president, Rev. Heber Dickinson; vice-president, Tony Shulman; secretary-treasurer, Nona Shulman; sports com- mittee, Mr, and Mrs. Gerald Grubb and Mr. and Mrs. John Pym. U.C. groups meet at camp June 27 the Presbyterial of the United Church Women and the Presbytery United Church Men's Council sponsored a family gathering at Camp Menesetung three miles north of Goderich. An orchestra played prior to the beginning of the program. The members of the orchestra were Garnet and Agnes Farrier of Whitechurch, Stuart Kelly of Mitchell, Dwight Stacey of Mitchell, Ernest Harley of Mitchell, Murray and Margret Christie of RR 1, Cromarty. Mrs. Stewart Miner of RR 3, Exeter was in charge of the program. A girls' chorus from Thames Road church with Mrs. Hodgert at the piano sang several songs. Rev, Mr. Warr of Goderich led a hymn-sing with Mrs. Warr at the piano. Joe Snider of Goderich brought greetings to the visitors and told of the work of Camp Menesetung. Harold Coade of Mitchell in- troduced a panel, composed of Mrs. Stuart Shier of RR 1, St. Marys, Mrs, Lloyd Edighoffer of Mitchell, Murray Selves of RR 1, Fullarton, and Ernie Williams of Seaforth. The Moderator of the panel was Phil Spence of Toronto. Their subject was "The Church of the Future." Earl Boville of RR 5, Stratford thanked the panel, Following the program the gathering enjoyed a smorgasbord supper in the dining hall of the camp, q‘cetruweezo oteutit The Sunday drive sponsored by the Exeter United Church Men of Exeter was completed last Sunday for the twenty residents Who were not able to go last Month, The Christian Reform Church of Clinton held a Service of song in the auditoriuth last Sunday evening led by Mr, Dick Roorda. The Clinton Kinettes program and tea, as well as several other activities, were held outdoors last week owing to the extreme heat. The auditorium was filled to Opacity on Friday night when the Myth Legion held a birthday party for one of their life mem- bers, Mts. Mary Taylor of Huronview, who was celebrating her 93rd birthday. WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAD Beth Passmore and Darlene Passmore left Monday by bus for Vancouver Island, British +4 Columbia to visit Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Listoen. Jack Hodgert, Grant Hodgert and Jim. Snow left Sunday by car.= for a trip to the West for a month. Robert Bray and John Miner returned home by train, Sunday, after having spent two weeks t with the latter's sister and her husband, Dr. Sandford and Mrs. Clare, in Victoria, British Columbia. BIRTHDAY PARTY A birthday picnic dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Rohde, Sunday in honor of the latter's mother, Mrs. William Thomson. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thomson and family, Woodham, Judy Ferguson, Mr. and Mrs. William Thomson, Exeter, .Mr., and Mrs. Glenn Jeffery, Alan and Connie, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rohde, PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Fred Nethway and Nichole, Strathroy, visited Thursday with Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Rohde. Mrs. Donald Bray returned home from Victoria Hospital, Friday after being a patient there for over a week. Janet Cunnington is holidaying with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Cunnington, Centralia. Joyce Cunnington is visiting with her uncle and aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Jim Romphf, Arkona. Mr. & Mrs. William Schoon- derwoerd, Bradley, Tracy and Kelly of near Mitchell visited Monday evening with Mr, & Mrs. William Rohde. Mr, & Mrs. Lorne Ballantyne, Brenda and Wendy spent a few days last week on a motor trip through the States by Port Huron, around the lake and home. The annual Sunday School and Church picnic will be held July 9 at 12:30 noon at Riverview Park, Exeter.
