T-A photo Ten area young people confirmed at Dashwood To investigate transportation CKNX Radio and Television, Wingham has called a special meeting of elected represen- tatives from municipalities and counties, throughout Western Ontario to investigate the need for a rapid transportation system, of communication with the Western Ontario area and the„.e-, Toronto and Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario, The meeting will be held at the; Wingham Legion hall, Wed% nesday, June 30 at 1:00 p.m. It is the feeling that since the daily Rail service to this section of Ontario has been withdrawn a large and important segment of Ontario's population has been denied access to the Metropolitan Toronto area. It is hoped at this time to encourage the establish- ment of a commuter daily air passenger and freight service for this area. As well as the elected representatives of towns in the counties of Huron, Perth, Grey,' Simcoe and Wellington Counties, the MLA's representing these counties, and Members of the Federal Parliament in Ottawa' representing this area have also, been invited, and most have' already acknowledge their willingness to attend. Both the Federal and:, Provincial departments of Transport have also signified they will have top represen-, tatives at the meeting as well. . weekend guests at the parsonage - with Rev. & Mrs. Earl Steinmait and boys.
