MARRIED AT EXETER UNITED CHURCH: Sandra Ann
Desjardine and Larry Richard Dobson were united in marriage at a
double ring ceremony at Exeter United Church, May 29, with the
Rev. Glen Wright officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Desjardine, Grand Bend, and the groom is the son of Mrs,
Alma Dobson and the late Montague Dobson, Exeter. The
attendants were Glenda Desjardine, sister of the bride and Robert
Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Dobson now reside at 464 Edward Street,
Exeter.

bride of Clifford Lance Langford
at St. Boniface Roman Catholic
Church, Zurich, June 5, 1971, with
Father Durand officiating.
The parents of the bridal couple
are Mr. & Mrs. E, Day, Hensall,
and Mr, & Mrs. R. Langford,
Exeter,
The church was decorated with
candelabra and white mums, and
Mrs. Meidinger accompanied the
soloist, Marlene Radar.
The bride, escorted down the
aisle by her father, was charming
in a full skirted organza gown
appliqued with Italian lace. A
sweeping train and a triple,
finger tip veil completed her
ensemble. Her bouquet was a
cascade of bady pink roses, white
stephanotis and ivy.
The bride's sisters were her
attendants. Paula Day was maid-
of-honor while Jacqueline and
Catherine were bridesmaids.
They wore old fashioned, midi-
length printed pink dimity
dresses trimmed with olive green
velvet ribbon, and pink picture
hats. They carried white wicker
baskets of white and pink flowers
with trailing ivy.
The groom was attended by
Ray Cockwell, Exeter, and Ed.
Nethercott and Ronald Day acted
as ushers,
After a recption and dance held
at the Exeter Curling Club, the
happy couple left on a trip to
North Carolina, the bride
wearing a travelling outfit of
mint green crepe with white lace
trim and matching accessories,
Mr. & Mrs. Langford will
reside in Hensall.

Church, Fullerton. The bride is
the only daughter of Mr. & Mrs.
Hugh Haynes of Fullerton. The
groom's parents are Mr. & Mrs.
Gerald Wurm of Exeter. Baskets
of lilacs and white pew bows
decorated the church.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was lovely in a
sleeveless gown of heavy satin
with a short sleeved coat over
top. The back of the coat formed
a flowing train and a four tiered
veil of silk illusion was held in
place by a cluster of flowers. She
carried a basket of yellow roses.
Mrs. 'Sharon Haynes of
Fullerton, sister-in-law of the
bride, was matron of honor and
Loree Martyn of R.R. 1, Mitchell

Mr. & Mrs. C. Hedley May's
45th wedding anniversary was
marked, June 2, with the family
holding open-house at the home of
their daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. & Mrs. Dwayne Tinney.
Friends, relatives and neigh-
bors gathered to wish the couple
many happy returns.
Dianne Hodgert and Shari
May, granddaughters, greeted
the guests at the door and were in
charge of the guest book.
Refreshments were served by
Mr. & Mrs, May's two daughters,
Mrs. Ross (Kathleen) Hodgert,
and Mrs. Tinney.
The couple also have two sons,
Douglas May of Poplar Hill and
Murray May, London.
They were married in St.
Thomas, June 2, 1926.

to the South Huron Association
for the Mentally Retarded and a
cash award will be presented to
the top four students in the
Mathematics classes at Exeter
Public School,
Next years executive are

Plans are under way for the
final meeting to tour the Museum

and the late John Henderson, and
Thomas A. Neilands, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Neilands of
Hensall.
The double ring ceremony was
set in a floral background of
standards of yellow and blue
spring flowers and traditional
wedding music was played by
Mrs. S. Meidinger.
Given in marriage by her
brother, John Henderson, the
bride was lovely in a floor length
wedding gown of white moss
crepe, styled with empire waist,
smocked bodice and long sleeves
gathered to a ruffle, A long veil
was caught to a headpiece of
white carnations and baby's
breath, and she carried a bouquet
of yellow rose buds, lily-of-the-
valley, blue iris and baby breath.
Maid of honor was Mrs. Jean
Underwood of Gorrie, sister of
the bride and Pamela and Sheila
Lindsay , Ingersoll, nieces of the
bride, were bridesmaids, They
were gowned in floor length
dresses with white batiste
bodices, long sleeves with ruffled
cuffs and skirts of periwinkle
blue batiste. Their headpieces
were blue bows with blue flowers
and they carried yellow roses,
white mums and baby's breath.
