Dear Mr. Batten:-
I have read, with great in-
terest, your May 6th edition of
your "Exeter Times-Advocate"

town.
I would like to congratulate you
on your fine hockey club, and also
the tremendous sports coverage
your paper gives your local
hockey club, and other sports as
well.
This is the second or third
edition of your paper I have had
the pleasure of reading, and I
think Mr. Haugh does a great job.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely
(Mrs.) D. McElwain
P.S.
If possible, please send me
your May 6 edition. I am en-
deavouring to compile a scrap
book on our hockey club this
year. Thank You.

Restaurant
celebrates
Rether's Restaurant marks the
occasion of its 25th anniversary
in Exeter this month.
George Rether and his son,
George, were involved in the
business when the family moved
here from London to assume
ownership of the Main St. facility.
In addition to the local
restaurant, they operated one at
the CNE grounds in Toronto for
10 years,
George Jr. took over ownership
of the local restaurant two years
ago with his wife, Anna. They
also operate one at the Supertest
service centre at Elginfield.
The present owner also has an
interest in the Ausable Golf
Course, which was opened east of
Exeter five years ago.
