The Easter Parade was sung and adorning bonnets for the parade were Lori Johns, Catherine Johns, Barbara Skinner, Bradley Skinner, Greg Hern and Alan Pym, ' A fashion parade of room decor was commentated on by Mrs. Howard Pym. The models were: kitchen, Mrs. Elson Lynn; bathroom, Mrs. Harold Bell; living-room, Brenda Skinner; bedroom, Mrs. Philip Johns; den or family room, Mrs. Hans GerstenUrn. Mrs. Philip Johns read the address and Ava Elford and Brenda Skinner assisted with the gifts. Patricia thanked everyone and invited them to her trousseau tea April 17. PERSONALS Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Squire Herdman were Mr. & Mrs. Robt Coates, Judith and Margaret Lynne Dolbear and Garry Herman Desjardine ex- changed marriage vows in Melville United Church on March 27, 1971 with Rev. Farquhar MacKinnon, London, officiating for the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Dolbear, Denfield and the groom is the son of Mrs. Irene Desjardine and the late Herman Desjardine, Grand Bend. Kenneth Lewis the soloist, was a ccompa niedbyKennethDolbear cousin of the bride, at the organ. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an original gown of pure white calipo silk designed in princess style. A tiara of sequins held the full length veil of imported silk illusion and she carried a bouquet of white carnations, red roses and stephanotis. Louise Dolbear, the bride's sister, was maid of honour. Barbara Sweeney and Brenda Desjardine, the sister of the groom were bridesmaids. All wore hot pink pant dresses with bodices of white lace featuring long sleeves and matching Ince cuffs, They carried bouquets of Cathy of Exeter, Carman Herd- man, Alan, Janet and Mark of Detroit. Mr. & Mrs. Don Crich and family of Clinton visited on Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Howard Pym. Bert Lobb of Clinton is spending a few days with Mr. & Mrs. Pym. Bert Rivers is a patient at Westminster Hospital for a few days. GRAND REND The Medical Centre fund thermometer registers $2,000 at time of writing. Dr, Copeman of the Ontario Department of Health visited the Committee last week and said Grand :lend has one of the finest programs in Ontario and he sees no difficulty in getting doctors, and eventually dentists, to practice in the village. UCW The afternoon Unit of the UCW held their Easter meeting Thursday afternoon, The president Mrs. Wm Love chaired the meeting. Mrs. A. Hamilton conducted the worship period using as her topic "The meaning of Golgotha". The roll call was answered by naming your first Sunday School teacher, Guest speaker for the afternoon was Mr. McFalls of the village. His theme was on Easter. Mrs, A. Miller and Mrs. Mae Holt sang a duet and hostesses for the lunch was Mrs. Don Hendrick and Mrs. Ed Turnbull, 4-H The 4-H girls met for their seventh meeting Monday evening in the United Church. The meeting was spent in preparing for a skit to be presented on achievement day. The girls filled in their hand out sheets and the meeting ad- journed. CANCER CAMPAIGN The Cancer campaign has been completed in the Grand Bend area. Captain of the campaign Mrs. Bryden Taylor reports $314.85 having been realized. PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Jim Ford of Hamilton visited on the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Frank Allister, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Lee visited in Detroit with their sons over the weekend. Susan Flear and Scott Flear spent Easter weekend in London visiting relatives. Mrs. Eleanor Brennen and Miss Audrey Metzler have returned to their place of business at the European Art Gallery after having spent the winter out of town, Mr. & Mrs. W. B. F. McLaren have returned home from Florida where they were vacationing for the past few weeks. Mr, Si Mrs. S. M. Barbour of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Clarke Kennedy. The Easter service of worship at the United Church was well attended last Sunday. The Jr choir was in the choir loft and rendered several musical numbers appropriate for Easter. Mrs. Wm Brenner was soloist. Mr. &Mrs. Jack Allister visited in Detroit over Easter weekend. Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Ott of Detroit were in Grand Bend on the weekend opening up their cot- tage. W. 0. Morley Love and daughters Brenda and Jennifer of Ottawa were Easter visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Colin Love.
