The Jet manager went on to say, "It's a pretty sad situation when they let us go like this for seven years. Anyone knows we wouldn't be deliberately illegal for that length of time," Despite declaring the Jets ineligible, the 011A decided to make a few concessions and give them another chance, Late hi the protest meeting, the OHA said they would allow the Jets to continue in the final with another two games total goals series. They named Steve Storey, Bill Neil, Keith Scarborough and Urbshott as the players they would accept as residents for the balance of the year or any junior players that resided in Lucan or Ilderton. While the four above mentioned players were signed to playing certificates, Neil did not play in any games during the year and Scarborough was suited up once as a spare goalie, The Jet executive then decided to call it quits and forfeit the series to Durham if no suspen- sions would be forthcoming. They were assured by the OHA that this would not be done. The L-I club actually won the round on the ice and lost it in the committee room. After the original seven game series went to eight games and still deadlocked, the Jets took a total goal series 10-6 before the protest was lodged. The Jets were represented at the protest meeting by president Barry Beech, manager Urbshott, coach Jack Nairn, Toronto lawyer Bill McCurtrey who was named club secretary after the recent death of. Barney Macklem, veteran player Steve Storey and Middlesex North MPP Bill Stewart. By MRS. HEBER DAVIS Easter Day service was held at St. Patrick's Church with Dr. H. Rokeby-Thomas in charge. The best-of-five series went the limit after the Huron Park club had taken an early lead. Chuck Becker's goal with less than three minutes to go in the fifth and deciding game gave the Bank Boys their margin of vic- tory. Fred Wells scored the first goal of the game in the opening period to put the Bank Boys out in front. Ian McCallum notched the only Huron Park score halfway through the final session. JR.
