Kippen UCW March meeting
was held at the home of Mrs. A.
Binnendyk.
Mrs. Alex Malurtrie opened
the meeting with the worship, the
theme being the birth and life of
Moses. Scripture was taken
from Exodus, • Mrs. J. Sinclair opened the
business part of the meeting with
a poem and roll call was an-
swered by a spring verse. Plans
were made for visitors night in
April .
The ladies accepted an in-
vitation from the Northside UCW
of Seaforth. There was discussion
on the renovation of the church
kitchen and of a coffeemakei.

March 24 the Kinette Club of
Hensall held a dinner meeting at
Hotel Hensall and welcomed
Kinette convener of District I,
Jean Turnbull, and District
secretary, Evelyn Ainsley, and
other special guests of the
evening.
Everyone was reminded of the
spring shut-in visits Sunday, and
the spring rummage sale, May 7
in Hensall Arena.
Mrs. John Baker introduced
the guest speaker convener Jean
Turnbull of London who outlined
for the Kinettes, The Duties Of
The District Kinette Executive.
Mrs. Jack Bettke presented the
speaker with a gift for her in-
formative talk.
April 14, the club will attend the
Kinette Interclub for Zone B in
Goderich and will also travel to
Goderich on April 28 to entertain
patients at the Psychiatric
Hospital,

from fall
Peter Bisback, 21, Hensall, was
listed in satisfactory condition in
Seaforth Community Hospital
with a broken leg and heel, and
multiple bruises suffered in a 30
foot fall March 24 in Mitchell.
Peter, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Grant Bisback, Hensel], was
repairing a silo elevator belt at
the plant of W. G. Thompson and
Sons when the belt apparently
broke and he lost his balance and
tell according to Howard Scane,
plant manager.

Kippen East Women's Institute
entertained the residents at
Huronview to a program of songs
and dances, March 24. After a
rousing singsong by the mem-
bers, Mrs. Harry Caldwell and
Mrs. Vern Alderdice entertained
with the barn dance and schot-
tische.
Linda Bell played several piano
numbers; Mrs, Bell and Mrs,
Alderdice sang; Mrs. Ross
Broadfoot played several old
time numbers on the piano; Mrs,
Caldwell, Linda Bell, Mrs.
Alderdice and Mrs. Bell en-
tertained with the heel and toe
polka,
Happy Birthday was sung and
those with a March birthday were
presented with a gift. Lunch was
